"Booked into here last night for a party of six after completing a funeral service for my friends parents,we arrived on time and found there was a very limited menu to choose from and three members of our party were unable to find anything they could eat,we therefore very politely informed the lovely young waitress that we were unable to order food but would still like to have a drink, she then retired to fulfill the drinks orders and obviously informed the owner/ manager that we were unable to order food,we and everyone else in the restaurant heard him fly into a rage shouting and swearing and calling us all sorts of profanities for well over 10 minutes,just prior to his fit of anger we as a group had discussed and agreed to pay a partial cancellation fee ,even though this was not asked for, I personally run a multi million pound entertainment venue so understand the frustration that late cancellations cause but after the disgusting tirade we heard that decision was quickly overturned and we left, I definitely would not recommend visiting this establishment."

"The view from the restaurant window is beautiful. We were seated in a lounge while we were waiting for the previous diners to vacate. We were served aperitifs while waiting. The food I ate, twice cooked belly pork melted in my mouth. In fact it...was so good we returned the next night so I could have another helping. My wife and friends also enjoyed their food which was served hot. Staff were excellent and smiled a lot."

"With travelers coming from around the globe, you would think there was more food options for a huge resort such as the McDonalds. This restaurant had a lovely selection but was hampered by lack of sufficient time to order."

"The food was excellent. Portion size was good. Pricey, but that seems to be the case everywhere now. The service had a mildly fawlty towers feel, but it didn 't bother us. It could be due to difficulty recruiting experienced staff. I would certainly go back."

"Waiting staff bar tenders were brilliant the place had a good atmosphere the cocktails/mocktails were good, but sadly let down by the kitchen. The food was awful, my steak was overdone I had jaw ache from chewing. The lamb chop was so tough you couldn't cut it. The kitchen mixed our order up with another table so only half of us received our meals and we had finished eating before the rest arrived! The manager apologized and gave us a discount not really his fault, as I said the food was dreadful. Would not recommend unless just going for a drink."

"(This took place in June 2021, however, I have only just noticed my review was not placed as my original review did not comply with community guidelines) Doing the NC 500, freezing cold rainy day whilst camping so we decided to go the only pub available in the area. The woman serving us was nice and polite but the bloke behind the bar was unnecessarily hostile from the moment we walked in. Beer was nice and it’s a nice little pub, had a few games of darts. This bloke was the CEO of Covid police. I understand people are cautious but my friend stood up from the bench to let another friend get up to the toilet and in the fraction of a second it took for him to stand up and sit down the bar man was shouting over at him to sit down. We weren’t the only people to receive this treatment. A few other tables had also had a telling off. He seems to hate tourists even though his livelihood most likely relies on the tourism the NC500 brings. Would have definitely went to another pub if there was one."
