"We celebrate the anniversary of a personal event every year by lunching on wings and beer. Tradition.We've tried a few Wild Wing locations in our area but this was the first time for Boxgrove.In a word, terrific!Wasn't too busy that day, just a few tables, mixed crowd of tradespeople, on family, a couple of couples, a single ... and us. Just one staff running the show. He did a great job with prompt,, friendly service.When we asked for the closest to 'buffalo wings', he suggested ... then brought the sauce for us to taste! We've never had that level of service before!The wings were great. Complete with celery and carrots and a dipping sauce. M-m-m-m-m!So was the beer ... they still have my fave Rickard's Red. Billed by the maker as an Irish Style Ale, though you find all kinds of other descriptions on the web like 'Amber/American Lager', etc. Knowing Irish Ales, I'd go with the maker's description.Anyway, other restos seem to be abandoning it, switching to the inferior competitor brands, or abandoning the 'reds' altogether. Nothing goes better with wings, BBQ, etc.I digress. The wings were great. We'll be back!"

"They do have the best Hong Kong style spaghetti bolognese in the greater Toronto area. It was packed with minced meat, baked to the right temperature where the shredded cheese is melted into the tasty tomato sauce. Wished the spaghetti was more al dante (chewy) texture. I also had the Honey Pepper Sauce Chicken with rice. Each combo comes with regular hot drink and soup/hot dessert. It takes about 10 minutes from ordering to receiving food. You must be patient as good food takes time to make. Food is nicely presented so it’s appetizing to eat. Overall good value Hong Kong style cafe baked rice and spaghetti combos."

"Really wanted to like the place but was disappointed overall.I wanted to like it because it had items I rarely find elsewhere.Ordered the doufunao, ice jelly and beef pancakes. Out of the three the ice jelly was the best. It was refreshing and addictive. The other two items were disappointments. The beef pancake was a tad too sweet with the addition of carrots in the filling. It was also way too oily. The most disappointing was the doufunao. I've been craving Beijing style tofu pudding with the savoury gravy. While the tofu was soft, the gravy was so weak. It just made me miss the one I had in Beijing more.I hope the other items on their menu are better."

"Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is very delicious. The presentation of the food is very colourful and picture worthy. They have generous portions of meat in all their meals. They have some interesting flavours of Pad Thai with lobster also as an option for the meat. Highly recommend this place."

"Our evening at Osteria Mattarello in Thornhill was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, every dish was a celebration of flavors and culinary craftsmanship. We kicked off with the Squid Ink Arancini, a delightful and unique starter that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The crispy exterior and the burst of flavors inside made for a perfect beginning. The Beef Ragu Pappardelle was a pasta lover's dream. The rich, hearty ragu clung to the perfectly cooked pappardelle, creating a dish that was both comforting and indulgent. For those seeking a bit of heat, the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni delivered. The bold flavors and the perfect level of spiciness made it a standout dish, leaving us craving more. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a sweet symphony of textures and tastes, a perfect ending to a delightful meal. And the Zipolle added a savory note that complemented the overall experience. What made the evening even more special was seeing my date thoroughly enjoy every bite. The attentive service and warm ambiance only added to the overall charm of Osteria Mattarello. Kudos to the chefs and the staff for creating such a memorable dining experience. Osteria Mattarello is definitely a gem in Thornhill, and we'll be back for more culinary adventures. Highly recommended!"

"This was a favorite takeout spot that we used during the height of the pandemic and once we felt comfortable enough for in person dining, it became part of our regular rotation.Dumpling King is well spaced out. The tables aren't crowded like you'd find at some Chinese restaurants. The wait staff are friendly and polite.The food here is good. Let's not kid ourselves dumplings are easy to make, so I'm not splitting hairs here. There is a great number of variety of fillings you can choose, and you can also choose between boiled, steamed, or pan fried. (If it doesn't specify, it's boiled. Although this is a dumpling place, their other cooked foods are also quite good. We've seen people ordering hot plates or hot pot plates. We saw several guests have an entire meal without any dumplings. I'll just list things that we basically order every time: A16 Steamed Lamb Dumplings A23 Pan Fried Leek Pork Pot Stickers B6 Pan Fried Pancake w/ Green Onions G2 Lamb w/ Cumin Spices L6 Green Beans Sauteed w/ Dried Shrimp Minced PorkOverall this is a place I can recommend and the portions are pretty good for today's restaurant prices. We will be coming back here again and again."
