"We called at O Mai when on a city break to Nice and fancying some Chinese food. When entering the restaurant we were the only two customers, but felt that this may be normal for 18:00 on a Monday evening? The proprietor was friendly and welcoming. Drinks were served and were cold and as expected. The food served to me was good, but my wife's main course was not we would normally expect when ordering a sweet and sour dish. Her sweet and sour chicken tasted fine, but was not as expected, but having not had Chinese food in French before, we did not know if this was the norm, so no complaint was made. Throughout our meal a few other couples came into the restaurant. Overall I would say food was good, drinks cold and tasty and staff friendly. I considered giving 3 stars based on my wife's strange main course, but as it tasted OK (though not what she would normally expect) and rest of food was good, I went for 4 stars."

"This is one of my 2 favorite restaurants in Nice. Run by a very nice family, I have been here probably 10 times over the years and have never had a bad meal. The zucchini flowers (fleurs des courgettes) are the best I have ever had! The daube and the paste with pesto are exellent. And for dessert, you must have the chocolate pie - an absolute marvel!"

"We've been twice here already, once with parents too and the food is really, really tasty, affordable and different if you are sick of the french proposals. I had the Portuguese bouillabaisse first and it was OMG! to die for!! Second I had the orata and paid a decent 16€ on it (and not 30 like in some other places with potatoes and salad and it was delicious. My boyfriend tried the aioli and I only would suggest that you stop putting so much onion on every dish as it doesn't need it. : Last time he tried the ribs which were ok, but we'll not order them again. What we really loved and will try again was the sangria. It is a must here as they make it absolutely amazing. We'll go back for sure for the fish."
