"Every time we visit Sibiu, we make sure to visit Crama Ileana for a good, hearty meal of traditional Transylvanian cuisine. Frankly, it would be well worth it for either the great food or the beautiful decor but for both? It would be a shame...not to go there and to risk paying more for less somewhere else! This time, my partner had the ciorba de burte (tripe soup) with a side of sour creme and fresh farmhouse bread. This was followed by de-boned chicken breasts, tenderized after ordering (we could hear them battering away in the kitchen) and grilled on the charcoal grill, served with chips with melted cheese, salad and pickled cucumbers. I had a delicious vegetable soup made with cabbage, green beans, peas, potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes and lots of parsley, eaten together with more fresh bread. My main dish was a iahnie de fasole (a very filling bean stew with tomatoes, onions, red peppers, carrots, garlic, paprika, thyme and bay leaves), boiled potatoes with fried onions and a delicious varza calita (cabbage fried with onions, black pepper, bay leaves, thyme and paprika). The service was very good -fast, attentive and very professional. The atmosphere was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable indeed for such good food in such a lovely destination location. "My chum and I popped in here for a quick meal while touring The Old Town. I had the spinach, bacon and boiled egg soup followed by a lovely salad. However, the lemonade with mint drink they sell made me want to grunt aloud with joy. Lovely time was had."

"Considering the logistic problems to have Portuguese ingredients in Romania, the food was great, the music was a mix of Portuguese and Brazilian sounds very nice and pleasant! Great place with a lovely decoration! Not so cheap, but a "must do try" place"
