"As always The Swan did not disappoint, fantastic food, great service lovely atmosphere. I had the chicken for main which was extremely tasty my friend the burger which I have also had before. This pub really is the hidden gem of South Derbyshire."

"We struggled to book a table for Sunday lunch, and I’m not surprised. It was a limited menu, which suits me fine, as I think I would have been happy with any of the choices on offer. I chose roast beef, which came with Yorkshire...Puddings, roast potatoes, new potatoes and gravy. There were also generous side portions of deliciously creamy cauliflower cheese and mixed vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection and piping hot. I couldn’t finish it all, as I wanted to leave room for a pudding, and I was really glad that I did, as that was delicious too. Service was friendly and efficient and made the experience a really good one. The only downside was that the table felt a little cramped for me, but that didn’t affect my enjoyment of the meal, and I would certainly like to eat there again when I’m in the area."

"Fantastic food brilliant service and a friendly atmosphere. Phoebe and Molly were superb very chatty and welcoming. I dined alone and was made to feel so welcome. The food was sooooo tasty and different. All home cooked and freshly prepared on order and it shows!!! I had the fish soup and the roast brisket on a bed of creamy potato topped with beautifully roasted carrots and smothered in a peppercorn sauce. I give it 6 out of 5 stars. I will without a doubt be back for more. To avoid disappointment I advise booking before hand as I can see it being very busy regardless of what night it may be. Happy dining. Been back again and beautiful again!! Had soup again to start followed by pan fried fillet steak, sauteed mushrooms and triple cooked, fresh, sea salted chips with roasted shallots. My steak came rare, as requested, tender and succulent, fresh and tasty. I can't fault my experience. Sharon, Molly and Lawrence your service is fantastic and the food you serve is nothing short of perfect, thank you."
