"On New Year's Eve we wanted to go to one of our favorite restaurants in SLC for a special evening. However, the evening was absolutely the worst experience we ALL had ever had in terms of service. We arrived at 6:15 per our reservation and quickly received our drinks and waited 40 mins for olives and bread. We politely asked 2 times over the course of the 40 mins when we might get the olives bread. No joke, the waiter said, I do not control the kitchen and walked away. Second time we asked we were informed since we had been there before we should expect this service. My salad came out before the bread and olives and our food was delivered 1 hour and 20 mins after ordering. We truly did enjoy the food once we got it. Please note that the restaurant was only half full at this time. Upon receiving the check we asked to speak to the manager. I am not confident that the person we spoke to was in fact the manager but he was polite and for the first time we got an apology for the slow service. Our waiter came over and proceeded to tell us off for speaking to the manager. The manager had to ask him to leave and he did see first hand what we had put up with during the evening. We won't be back even though the food was good and our corkage charge was taken off. The waiter absolutely needs to understand that there is a right way to manage situations and a wrong way. Our waiter should star in a training video of how not to handle situations with your customers. Throughout the evening we noticed we were not the only ones upset with the service so I don't think it was just our table of 4. There are many other good restaurants in SLC and I recommend you go there instead of Sea Salt."

"We loved this... very reminiscent of being in Italy... when an evening out for a meal is really the evening. If you eat all the courses it is about 2-3 hours and so nice... not a single patron had their phone out everyone was laughing and eating the amazing food"
