"I've been to Sumulong for dinner several times, but recently visited DeMars. The hotel looks simple from the outside in, which is why I was surprised that the menu was on the higher end of the range. They also serve the usual free starters as in restaurants of the same concept: bread, garden salad and soup (malunggay). I haven't started my main courses yet, but I've been half full - in a good way as they're all fresh and tasty. I ordered Steak Ala Pie and Malunggay iced tea while my partner got the catch of the day (sea bass). Unfortunately I was brought the wrong dish (braised pork belly). I wanted it to be changed but I thought the waiter might be charged for it so I decided to take it instead. To my surprise, the pork belly was a lovely accident - it's delicious, juicy, and melts in your mouth. Glad the waiter messed up my orders!
