"This was my first time here since the remodel. They did a very nice job with the decor. It looks a lot more polished and tidy. I had the Thai curry casserole earthen pot and found it to be quite tasty. The spice level was just right for me. It may be too hot for some, too mild for others. The portion was quite generous for the price. I had dinner and a lunch out of it. My companion had the veggie steamed dumplings and mentioned that they were quite delicious. The only reason I didn't give this establishment five stars is because my companion had ordered the wonton soup and it never came out. They were gracious enough to provide it for carry out, but it should have never been overlooked to start with. Overall, I highly enjoyed my visit and plan to go back."

"This is the bar. great environment, drinks, eating and prices! there is a reason why this place was here forever. dinned to dinner and had a wonderful experience. everything we had was amazing and so good. the bar is definitiw an old school. I could say that they make most of their food in the house. I just need to go back for their happy hour and lunch specialty. can't beat ashley. I could even say it's the best pub on campus."

"Spencer is one of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor because of the delicious food and the unique atmosphere. The menu is constantly changing but everything I've eaten there has been really delicious. You can never go wrong with the cheese board! It is fantastic and the staff gives a great explanation of all the meats, cheeses, pickles, etc. The seating is communal so it can feel a bit squishy if you're not used to that sort of thing. You order at the counter, leaving open your tab so you can go back for more if you want, and then the food is delivered to your table. The only complaint I had was that the menu is rather vague and it can be difficult to flag someone down to explain dishes. You are also responsible for filling your water glass. This is not the place for someone who wants attentive, traditional service, but it certainly offers a wonderful meal and a lovely dining experience."
