"This has sadly been my first negative thefork experience. we decided for a short trip to vienna and the quite creative, yet authentic menu of the place conviced us to book a reservation. well, not only was the food quality, temperature even, as well as presentation disappointing, we also waited nearly an hour for the meals to arrive. there was a single waitress running around a huge locale, unorganized. schnitzel, bbq wings tasted below average. sorry, we definitely won’t be back."

"Die Atmosphäre ist sehr freundlich und familiär, das Essen ist gut, ebenso der Spritzwein. Vom reinen Wein haben wir nicht gekostet. Der Garten ist schattig und ruhig, aber leider nicht sehr grün. Versprüht eher einen 80er Jahre Waschbetoncharme. Die Preise sind leider sehr hoch. 9 Euro für eine Portion gebackene Hühnerleber ohne Beilage oder 5 Euro für ein kleines Stück Kürbisauflauf sind trotz Nähe zum 31er nicht gerechtfertigt. Da ist der Wieninger auch nicht teurer - aber doch noch deutlich besser!"

"For dinner while discussing work, in perfect surroundings, across from Theater an der Wien and Nschmarkt, a bit more elegant without being undeservingly snobbish. Perfect fish filet (branzino) with celery puree and crisp steamed veg, followed by caramelised topfenschmarrn...and until now i had thought a kaiserschmarrn was the zenith of viennese cuisine. definitely going back for more."

"Came here with daughter. Both vegetarian. Setting is nice. Ordered Vietnamese Summer rolls and soup of the day (apple-celery) for starter. Soup was tasty. Summer rolls were good but a bit heavy and over-tofu'd. For mains one ordered burger and chips (quite heavy, burger ok...but not so tasty) and the other ordered gnocchi (substantial portions, but the gnocchi itself was too fat; whole thing a bit oily)."

"Absolutely outstanding restaurant. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, the 3 ladies I spoke to all spoke several languages extremely competently. I arrived just before they opened and they were hand-writing the menu, I love that level of detail and dedication. Onto the food, all I can say is wow. The schnitzel was amazing, the pints of Austrian lager were special too. The potato salad was the best I've ever had. I've eaten in restaurants all over the world and this place is right up there amongst the best I've ever been to. If I could rate it higher, I would. 10/10 in every department. Special mention for the lady from Germany and the lady from Belgium, thanks for being so hospitable and I wish you both all the best. Thanks, Peter from Diablo Seasonings"

"Gault&Millau, one of the leading independent international restaurant guides in the world, rated the Casino Restaurant Vienna with 13 out of 20 points. That's worth 1 out of 4 possible chef's hat, only 1 year after reopening the venue. So congrats, and well worth a visit to taste the new cuisine. A little housekeeping to start with: Admission to the Casino is only permitted from the age of 18 years and a check-in with valid official identity document (passport, drivers licence).Also, there is a dress code (really love that) in order to get in; for example an evening gown, jacket or blazer. Should you opt for a spontaneous visit, they will be pleased to provide you with a jacket for hire.The Casino Restaurant Wien is offering fine dining in a unique, luxurious but comfortable atmosphere. All dishes of chef James Fergueson have its source in tradionally vienniese cuisine - reinterpreted and refined with an international touch. We've opted for the 2 available menus, Dinner & Casino Noir or Rouge including wine by the glass per course selected by the Sommelier. For a starter we had marinated filets from pickled herring and slightly tempered goose followed by Brussels sprouts consommé and frothy soup from the black salsify. For the main course we had sautéed spine of a wild boar on black salsify ragout, crispy sweet potato and cowberry jus and a roasted filet from a fjord-trout with lava beans, fresh tarragon and celery coulis. We finished dinner with baked hazelnut casserole with caramelised apple-sour cream-dip and a chocolate-tangerine-mousse tart, kumquat sauce and cashew sorbet.All courses, including the ingredients used to prepare them, were of excellent quality and presented very creatively. Considering the pricing, every 4 course menu comes at €39 plus €14 for 3 glasses of wine (optional), this is a very fair way of tasting Gault&Millau level cuisine. At this level though, expectations are a bit higher than usual, so I would like to provide feedback on the very professional and anxious service. Being extraordinary friendly and obliging is a must, experience will come with time. Here are 2 tiny examples of possible improvement: 30 minutes into the dinner, I couldn't quite remember all the side dishes of my main course. When we got our plates, the waiter presented them saying:" Here's the fish and here's the boar" without offering just a second to allow for possible questions. Speaking about this two very different main courses, I was surprised to hear the wine selection would be the same for the two of us. Having said that, I've got no idea about the challenge to have that amount of guests every night, with such a high number of tourists, hosting them in so many different languages. Just a little less professional, systemic approach would have made our experience a little more personal.Thank's for having us, we were very pleased visiting the Casino Restaurant Vienna. We enjoyed every minute and will do so any time again."

"Stopped here to get a spot of coffee twice during my recent trip to Vienna. The cafe had lots of outdoor seating, which was a perfect way to soak up the sun. The lattes and melange were sublime, and all of the food other customers were getting looked delicious and fresh. There's a great view of the market and an endearing iridescent building in Leopoldstadt, and it's fairly close to a bridge leading to the inner city. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area."

"Wir aßen Sparerbs zu 15,90€, 2 Münchner Weißwürste mit Brezn für 7,80€, tranken ein alkoholfreies Weizen zu 4,40€. Service war ok, das Essen kam in angemessener Zeit. Man kann auf 2 Seiten des Gebäudes draußen sitzen oder sich hinein begeben. Schöne Umgebung im Stadtpark. Gut mit ÖPNV (Straßenbahn) zu erreichen."
