"Bei unserem 3/4-Tages-Ausflug nach Schönbrunn haben wir einen Erfrischungs- und Erholungsstopp in diesem Restaurant eingelegt. Das Bier war kalt und lecker, der Kaiserschmarrn leider eher kalt bis nur lauwarm. Was gar nicht ging war der Service. Die Dame, die uns bedient hat, war nicht besonders freundlich und eher muffelig. Ihr Kollege meinte Gästen, die gerne etwas bestellen wollten, sagen zu müssen "ich räume jetzt erstmal den Nebentisch ab" und schwupps waren es zwei Gäste weniger. Die Tische waren zum Teil angestossen/aufgeplatzt und "klebten"."

"We entered and the waitress didn't even look at us in the face giving us the card (which is loaded according to the dish you choose.) is partially self-service but the operation is not explained by anyone and if you ask or pretend they don't know English or answer monosyllables. pizza was good and the right price, below the Viennese average, but the way they treated us is shameful."

"Die Stelze mit den Beilagen ist zu teuer und im Glas Bier ist auch fasst nur Bierschaum drin, Die Bedienung ist total gestresst. Man muss sehr lange auf das Personal warten und sogar bei der Bezahlung."

"Pub and bar hopping around Judenplatz we dropped into Philosoph as it looked a cool bar and on a hot day had outside seating which looked so inviting. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a great interior with fantastic decor...and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto Judenplatz, this is were we chose to sit as it was a really hot afternoon. A very pleasant member of staff took our order of a beer each,we opted to have that most Viennese of beers namely Ottakringer pils beer,these beers were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we just chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My beer was exceptional, a light,hoppy and unpretentious beer, perfect for a hot day, a totally refreshing beer, very easy to drink,a beer style I really enjoy. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although we only stayed for the one beer each for a first time visit we were totally impressed with Philosoph. Philosoph is easy to locate on Judengasse in an area teeming with pubs,bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. A great bar,well worth checking out if your in the area"
