"Puerto Madero was delicious ! And the ambiance was busy and picturesque. It sits on the lagoon and has indoor outdoor seating . We enjoyed the food but struggled a bit with the language barrier trying to clarify food allergies and what to avoid in the kitchen . Otherwise it was a nice dinner in Cancun. Will definitely go back ."

"It pains me to write this, and I do so in the hope that the proprietor will read this review and consider its content. This became my favorite place to meet for business and pleasure. The food was always excellent and the service attentive. What impressed me the most was the quality of all the ingredients and condiments; for example the ham baguette is made with actual ham with a thin trimming of fat at its edge, where most restaurants serve the cheaper "ham food" which is bits and pieces formed into a ham shape and color. The attention to every detail is evident throughout, and the owner should be commended for impeccable taste. Having said that, there have been changes in the kitchen. Now, I have never seen the cook, but I can tell it is not the same person as before from the changes to the execution of the food. This new cook LOVES mayonnaise. It is now present in everything it seems. The salmon tartare which was exquisite before, had a recipe change and is now a mayo fest. The salad which had a vinaigrette dressing is now tossed in - mayo. Now I think this condiment has its place, in certain situations - so does ketchup - but it has been an unwelcome addition to the kitchen of this otherwise terrific restaurant."

"We decided to try La Madonna for a night out while in Cancun.The interior of the restaurant was interesting - large sculptures surround you and there is a large Mona Lisa n the back wall. I enjoyed the surroundings.The waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing.The food was very good. We had a Caesar salad prepared table side. It was very good. Also, we had a selection of items from the menu. My wife enjoyed her salmon and my daughter loved her spinach pasta. The Gnocchi were prepared nicely, not over cooked or under cooked.All in all, I would visit here again."

"Cool enough spot to have drinks while waiting on the Isla Mujeres Ferry! It is a tourist trap-wanting you to hang out and get drunk on your way to the ferry--so indulge-you are on vacation! Lol We sat inside--cool beach vibe and the staff are...friendly! The drinks were a good price considering the location! I say-give them a shot on you way to catch the ferry! Tip-Don't try any fancy drinks--keep it simple and you'll be just fine!"
