"If you are looking for a big dinner, you should check this place. You can choose from ceviche, mussels, ramen and more to accompany your choice of over 30 sushi types. Especially for the price I was very impressed."

"We ate here twice and had different dishes each time and there were always great. I had the Ceviche Marisco, which was wonderful. The Seco de cabrito was excellent. The chicken dishes were also very good. Prices are very reasonable. We also had great fruit juices from exotic fruits. It is highly recommended."

"Mix Vegetariano is delicious. There is a "Chinese-style" mix-and-match from Column A and Column B for the set menu of the day. The menu rotates - hummus is every Wednesday, for example - with some other items (like pizza) always available.The food is very good and extremely satisfying. I wouldn't say that it's super creative, but that didn't bother me in the slightest. There were Peruvian stews and rice dishes and items with gluten and sometimes soy. Everything I had was great, and the hummus with the homemade chapati was mind-bogglingly good.The kitchen also accommodates people who are entering a plant diet or just coming off of one (no salt, no spice). I didn't try any of those dishes, so I can't speak to that, but it's nice to know that one can be accommodated should one need to be.It's a small place and fills up quickly. Open only for lunch, until 3:30p every day except Sundays and holidays.Highly recommended."

"Typical neighborhood Peruvian restaurant. I have observed this place since its opening, and the price was 5 soles, until today, when it is 7 soles for the daily menu. Ceviche by Shark is 8 soles. Just open for lunch when you have a daily menu...of 5 or something. TV was not at this time, but loud Peruvian music compete with the noise of traffic outside the open door. Owner seems somewhat surly, but service otherwise was ok. I actually came in because they drink Tumbo juice. Tumbo is like a huge passion fruit, and I hadn't tried before. The juice was like pear juice, including granular bits. The FIrst course was the Russian salad (cold cubed vegetables with Mayo) or beef soup. I had the beef soup that had squash, Yuca, celery and seminola in a slight broth, and if it had not been for the big piece cowspinne in the middle of the bowl, would have been great. Better quality than most similar restaurants, but the price is also slightly higher. The second course had the choice of Lomo Saltado that they do a good job on, travel, and some others. I chose fried mackerel. I have a fillet of typical dark mackerel. Nicely baked, not as strongly flavored as this fish is sometimes. I was glad to find only one bone in the fillet, which was nice after eating so much knöcherne Tilapia! The fish was not baked, but was accompanied with white rice, a bit of onion/limone/zilantro salad, boiled Yuca and a nice portion of brewed white beans, such as navy beans. All in all, beautiful taste, fair presentation, bad environment. Service was sufficient. The price at S/.7 is slightly higher than the average, the food is slightly better than the drinks."

"Fuimos a almorzar con la familia y amigos a este restaurante que nos recomendaron, el local es bonito, fresco, ventilado, el personal muy amable y rápido en los pedidos, la comida toma su tiempo en llegar, pero no mucho. Su carta no es muy variada considerando el nombre Fusión, que entiendo debería ser pescados y carnes, Pero los platos son ricos, pedimos un ceviche Tres estilos o tipos, el clásico, ají amarillo y ají mirasol...delicioso y buena cantidad, una rica causa de pulpa de cangrejo...bueno vino con langostinos en lugar de cangrejo, pero rico (sí nos avisaron antes del cambio) y estuvo super una mezcla de arroz verde con mariscos y queso parmesano, tipo rissoto, con plátano frito y salsa cruda, un pequeño filete de pescado...bueno se supone fue la fusión de mariscon sabor norteño, pero rico y buena cantidad, los precios pensamos acorde al producto."

"I come to work for Tarapoto and my local colleague brought us here for lunch. It's my new favorite place. The El Barranquino offers a range of classic and innovative dishes with seafood. I've been here three times. Today I had the...Tacu Tacu al Barranquino and was very satisfied. It was an aji amarillo based ceviche above a grilled fish fillet, above Tacu Tacu (rice and bean mix). It was great!!! Deeply complex aromas. The tempo and texture difference btwn the ceviche over the piping hot grilled fish was perfect and interesting. Nicely seasoned. Chicha morada was also delicious. Just a tad sweet my Fav. Many restaurants in Peru offer overly sweet Chicha. Not here. Very cheap, which is beautiful. Decor is simple, no ruffles. It's about food."

"Probably the best seafood and ceviche in Tarapoto. Everything's guaranteed. THey also brought fish from the Pacific every day. Let us consider that this is a great task, as it takes about 20 hours drive from there. But I had Paiche fish that had an excellent selection for tasting local amazon fish. The keviche was exquisite and service was very good"
