"Phenomenal atmosphere, attentive and pleasant staff, and even better food. Just there last night with a friend who'd never had sushi, and the manager (sorry, never got his name) was incredible. He made sure my friend was able to sample several dishes (marinated Walu was an inspired choice) and overall made the entire experience extremely enjoyable. Our waitress was excellent as well."

"My crab cake was just okay. It had a sourness to it. Maybe too much lemon mixed in? The risotto wasn't as creamy, as it was sticky. The vegetables were limp and overcooked. I didn't eat them any more than to taste them. The quantity of food was very good. The peanut butter porter was outstanding!! Great little waitress. Very friendly. I liked what the menu offered; American fare, nothing unapproachable. The soups were good. The pimento cheese spread was good and a nice free starter. I'd go back. Although the food wasn't brag worthy, it certainly was good. A decent, friendly, clean, moderately priced restaurant in the Haymarket area. The name threw me off, though. Culinary, to me, meant it would be unique and maybe high end style meals. Underground also, to me, said something unique and maybe even so good I'd want to keep it a secret so the place wouldn't get so crowded and I could always get it. The food was more on a par with Applebees. Still. A decent place downtown."

"Not a sushi fan but I enjoy blue!! They have a whole section of vegetarian rolls and most of them are vegan, I want to say around 6 options at least?? Can’t remember exactly. Tasty too, def the best place in Lincoln for vegan sushi! You gotta try the cowgirl"

"El Chaparro doesn?t try to be anything other than its genuine, phenomenal self. You?re not getting some overly flashy display where the food is an afterthought. You?re getting an authentic, delicious meal cooked served by hard-working, friendly staff in a comfortable and personable setting. Prices are fair, food comes out quickly, and staff are almost always attentive to our table?s needs. I?ll come back as many times as they?ll tolerate me mispronouncing ?Jarritos.?"
