"A Colombian friend of mine suggested we try Marmoleo(best steaks in town, he said). The Parilla is located about half way up the mountain, on the road that goes to the Int'l Airport. It does have nice views of Medellin at night the atmosphere...is very homey and like you are in a private home...but alas..it all ends at that point. My friend and I ordered an entrada(she the cream of tomate soup I ordered Ceviche Chinchuli). And we ordered our entrees at the same time, but I told the waitress(Marcela Ospina)...please bring the entradas first, prior to the entrees. Well...after waiting about 35-40 mins. a huge tray arrived with(you guessed it) entradas entrees...hmmm. And the restaurant was not crowded at all(maybe 35% of tables were filled).Please note that I have owned two(2) fine dining restaurants in my life in Florida, so I am not a food-rookie posting this.t O.K. let me talk about about the entrees. My friend enjoys a nice filet mignon periodically I enjoy a ribeye steak also. My friend ordered her filet medium well and I ordered my ribeye medium, but the filet was red raw in the center(not even warm)...not on the grill long enough...huh. Our waitress was out in left-field all night...and she had only two(2) tables this place serves steaks, so not too tough to wait on tables in a steakhouse I really wish our evening had been nice and tasty, but the number of mistakes made by the staff at Marmoleo was astounding. Oh yes...to cap off our evening, I gave our waitress the phone number of my taxista, for the trip back down the mtn. and after 1 min. she came back and told me that number did not work. The number was correct, so finally a Uber arrived to ferry us back to our lodging. I spoke with my taxista later and he was having a bite to eat at that time, cell in the taxi...he in a café. Oh yes, the prices at Marmoleo are way our of bounds for the quality of beef served/service/atmosphere. I gladly will pay premium prices for quality food/atmosphere/service anywhere, but it did not exist at Marmoleo, which was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT I will not make another reservation at this dining establishment To the owner(s) at Marmoleo...I would suggest some changes to better your establishment, but the horrible mistakes your staff made are generally incorrectible, unless you make changes at the waiter/waitress positions first. And for a Saturday night(during Christmas season...on 35% of the tables were filled=hmmmmm"

"I had a very good Bandeja Tipica, the proper plate for lunch in Antioquia, red beans, chicharron (bacon), arepa, rice, egg, plantain, avocado and more. We also ordered the red beans plate that comes with everything together, also with potatoes. We came to have lunch in family."

"Worst Steak ever had. I asked for a ribeye; what I was served was a mess of fat and more fat. I mentioned it to the waiter. His answer was too bad. Am and I talked to the cook and he told me that the owner had the same experience, but they still put it on the menu. And ofcouse I paid for an overpriced terrible experience."

"Tout présentait pourtant bien!!Nous devions passer 2 jours à Medellín, nous avions une babysitter pour profiter des nuits de Medellín et deux réservations dans les bons restaurants de Medellín (une pour le 1er soir El Herbario et une pour le second), bref tout les voyants étaient au vert!!!Nous nous sommes rendus dans cet établissement recommandé. Il n'y avait que 4 tables occupées sur les 30 du restaurant. Il semble que c’était une semaine de faible affluence après les fêtes de fin d'années.Jusque la pas de griefs, rien ne décevait nos expectatives! La présentations des assiettes plutôt bonne!Nous avons fini de diner, ce n'est qu'une heure après que nous avons étés obligés de mettre un terme à notre soirée pris de maux de ventre, de fortes nausées...! Intoxication alimentaire!!Il est inadmissible qu'un restaurant serve du crabe et des crevettes qui ne soit pas fraiches. Il est préférable de jeter un produit que de le servir si il n'est pas en condition, surtout en période basse.Regrettable expérience, je déconseille. Ce restaurant ne mérite pas son classement"
