"Was there today Oct 18th for “lunch”. Four of us at table 114. Hostess was superb; always checking with us to see how we were doing. I had “steak and ale”. Absolutely delicious and I’d order it again in a heartbeat. But, with the fries and fresh veggies, it’s a pretty big meal.Suggest you re name it to “steak and mushroom” because that’s what it is. Steak was great and loved the mushrooms. This will be my “go to”.Came with a “pat” of butter. Okay, but I’d preferred a small vial of the gravy.Don’t drink beer, so had Pepsi. Much prefer Coke.The other three one fish chips, one chicken mushroom boxty, and one salmon on rice also really enjoyed their dishes.Have been there before; will be there again and again.Ken"
