"Barely a local in oeynhausen has become so up and down as a wittekinds source. Since 2015 a new owner has been there again, but this time a great couple that their craft really understands. the kitchen is held west of the valley. that means we've been really tired for years and not poor. I have eaten my tsartic (and largest) carving ever, as well as a rumpsteak that I could cut with the fork! what surprised me is that more and more young people eat there. probably also do not always want to eat pizza and appreciate the good service there. all in all, we look forward to our next time and the big beer garden behind the house. He is to be re-designed this year and a pond are created there. I hope the children's playground with the big burg remains."

"Name und Ambiente dieses Lokals sind irreführend. Auswahl, Qualität, Frische und Raffinesse würden durchaus die Bezeichnung "Gutes Speiselokal" erlauben. Der Koch schafft es, das äußerste aus seiner Karte herauszuholen. Alles ist selbstgemacht und auch saisonnale Gerichte ( z.B. Pfifferlinge ) fehlen nicht. Er kocht mit Leidenschaft und Sachverstand und seine Hausmacherkost ist für diesen Preis kaum zu schlagen - eine Rarität unter den deutschen Köchen. Zudem ist er gesegnet mit einer patenten, liebenswürdigen, hilfsbereiten Ehefrau, der es offenbar Freude macht, ihre Gäste flink und freundlich und mit Erfüllung aller Extrawürste zu bedienen. Ein tolles Team die Beiden - sie sollten sich aber eine Hilfe zulegen. Ich fürchte, dieses Pensum an Arbeit ist nicht mehr lange zu schaffen. Und der doofe Name muß auch geändert werden, sonst denkt jeder nur an eine Pommes-Bude - und dieses Niveau hat hat das Lokal bei weitem überrundet!"

"Wir, Vater und Tochter, besuchten dieses Restaurant zur Mittagszeit.1. Der Service war freundlich und effizient.2. Die Speisekarte umfangreich und erwartungsgemäß kartoffellastig.3. Wir bestellten Hühnchenbrust mit Kroketten und Schnitzel mit Champignons und Pommes frites. Die Portionen groß und gut gewürzt. Die Kroketten und die Pommes frites in üblicher Qualität. Das Fleisch und die Champignons etwas fettlastig.4. Das Ambiente angemessen.Insgesamt in Ordnung aber kein kulinarisches Highlight."
