"I visited this Restaurant/take away in the middle of a Pandemic,so the only option was takeaway.In normal times I think there is a seated area upstairs? I had never been there before,so my thoughts once I stepped inside the dark and weary area that I could have made a mistake....??? But what is it they say about 'Never Judge the Book by its Cover ....well this is very true and apt in this case. I took a few minutes to read the lengthy menu and as it was Friday evening,after a fairly hectic week 's work,I thought I may as well indulge. I ordered a portion of Garlic Mushrooms,Special Chicken Fried Rice, a Beef Tika masala (Medium Spicy with the 2 chillies Icon) and a portion of Popadums. I paid for the Order and collected it 15 mins later.So seen as eating out now means eating completely outside or in your car,I chose the latter. So I started with the Popadums,which I think there was 6 of them.They were light,Crispy,not oily like you would get in so many other Indians takeaway.They had a small serving of the finely chopped onions with them. They were gorgeous... Then I hit the Garlic Mushrooms,a serving contained 4X Buttom Mushrooms coated in golden brown Bread crumbs,with a beautiful Garlic Sauce on the side.Again I was expecting them to be more oily but to my delight they weren 't at all...They looked and tasted so delicious,you can tell the Chef/Cook was taking pride in his craft work.The presentation of them alone was simply gorgeous,I really did think that I could possibly be eating in a 5 star Restaurant. Come to think of it, I think they should reconsider changing their name from Star Tandoori to 5 Star Tandoori Beef Tikka Masala was more than sufficiently spicy,certainly set off the Hot Lips In summary all the food was beautiful and tasted goregous.I know I was starving,when I ordered the food...so does Hunger is the Best Sauce factor have a role to play,in my review of the food....well maybe but I guess that just means I will have to back and check again. Sometimes the best food comes out of Facilities that don 't always entices you in, so if in doubt,just give this a try for yourself,as I 'm sure you will agree with me,the food is Good. Congrats to all the Staff at Star Tandoori ' for the great food,I ate on Friday....its was soooooo Delicious.."
