"Some people rave about this place, maybe I was unlucky. I just had a pizza and a beer but found it uninspiring. The pizza was not what I would expect from real Italians. Service slow, restaurant half empty. I was there out of season, so...there wasn't any vibe going on. Also, where I was sitting, the lighting was brutal far too bright and cheap. I guess if you are there in July sitting outside, you'd be happy. Maybe"

"Great German food. Went there 3 times. First time for authentic German dish. Absolutely delicious. Second time for snacks like pretzels and dips with drinks. Third time for late night soup and cocktails. Benedict was extremely hospitable and kind Wonderful experience all 3 times and...highly recommend. Will return when visiting Bayreuth."

"For years we have been visiting the restaurant in the student forest and have always been satisfied with the snacks and the service. The previous criticism is not comprehensible to me. A pizza whose dough has not been baked does not cause vomiting for a long time. There was a general stomach adjustment. Nevertheless, a complaint with the always friendly owner would certainly have made a satisfactory solution. I only mention this because I have had completely different experiences. But to our evening: we ordered pasta with mushrooms and one with seafood. Both were very delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. As a dessert, we chose half-pipes. We drank red wine, later a grappa. The boss always provided for drinks and even had time for a little chat despite the full house. It was a completely successful evening that I like to repeat."

"We were just short in the mentioned bistro on the passage. It smells marvellously like old oil (fried) it is smoked there. The ventilation seems to be defective if any. Bad food, unfriendly service. Never again."

"Очень не плохое местечко, для семейного воскресного обеда, когда дома ну просто не хочется готовить! Схема ресторанчика проста, за определенное количество времени и определенное количество денег Вы едите, что хотите, сколько хотите, при этом получая не плохое обслуживание (вовремя убраные тарелки, грязные салфетки, пустые бокалы) Еда на удивление разнообразна и достаточно вкусная. Хочется отметить то еда еще многонациональная. Каждый себе найдет что либо во вкусу, от украинца, любителя жирной свинины, и араба ценителя говядины, до азиата любителя рыбы, нестандартной лапши и резиновых осминожек! Для детей же особые сладости в виде всевозможных фруктов, бананов в шеколаде, мороженного и пероженных! В общем достойное заведение где можно хорошо поесть за небольшие деньги!"

"We were seated outside for dinner, which was lovely on a balmy evening in August. Food and service were more refined than Oskar's down the road, but prices were not much higher. Fish and meat were both cooked well, and the house wines were more than adequate. Highly recommended for a nice dinner, in a town where there's not much choice, really. Reservations are essential, this place is popular and rightly so."
