"Yea best Italian restaurant in bern in the did. I was in some Italian restaurants and I like these the best. Eating is great. People are nice. it is a local restaurant with few tourist (except perhaps me). the most food I tried were. good, but I really liked the bolognese pasta (shown in the picture). the place is also very quiet and relaxing. thank you, which I think I will come quite often"

"Against our better judgement, we decided to give it a try. Don’t make the same mistake! Rosti came out in 5 minutes and consisted of spoonfuls of old grated potato falling apart. It was greasy and rancid, and had no buttery taste. Just oily potato that had been sitting on the stove for hours. Bacon was too salty. To add insult to injury, the temperature in the restaurant was way too high, making it hot and stuffy."

"This is not the cheapest of restaurants but the food is totally worth it. It is not only delicious but really nicely presented as well. I am vegetarian and the food im non-veg restaurants is often very bland and uninspired. This was not the case at Süder. The lentil salad was full of delicious flavours. There are many nice little touches like amuse bouche to start with and good-quality bread. Service was also excellent and very attentive."

"We ordered a fondue with mushrooms to try it out. It was tasting a bit different (in a negative way) from similar fondues I had recently. Similarly, the rest of the plates were not above average, so my impression was that despite the location (city-centre...of Bern), the quality is below average."

"We were ready for lunch after watching the noon glockenspiel and found Restaurant Brasserie Ratskeller (founded just off the main street. My English husband got their own local cloudy (active) beer which he proclaimed excellent and then really enjoyed their calf’s liver with mashed...potatoes, ending with an apricot strudel coffee. I had their cheese ravioli and a small rhubarb compote with panna cotta which were both delicious. It was all locals eating there so we knew it would be great (cost CHF so after tip but that is the norm for Switzerland). The menu is not in English (just German French) but the staff is very helpful so it is not a problem. It is a high quality of food and more a fine dining type of spot which we appreciated."

"Wanted something simple and easy on a Sunday evening so decided on pizza.I tried their Diavolo pizza. Pizza was ready in 15 minutes and was cooked perfectly and tasted great! Prices are cheaper in store than what is shown on their website.They don't accept payment by debit/credit card so you need to pay in cash. They do accept payment in Euros and will give you change in Euros too.Pizza prices are what you expect to pay at this end of the world.Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Service was very good.Their are plenty of seats if you wish to dine in.You can have pasta or just a coffee if you so wish.The pizzeria is located right in front of Breitenrain tram stop. I took the tram from Novotel Expo to the pizzeria and back, which is so easy and quick especially when you have a takeaway in hand and want to get back to the hotel quickly.So if you're staying at Novotel or IBIS Expo and craving really good pizza then this pizzeria is the perfect option."
