"Reserved a table for a summer evening meal as a family. Although service was very friendly, it took minutes to be able to order drinks and another to see them appear, not cold enough either. The restaurant was far from being full but...waitresses seem busier chatting with their friends than looking after their customers. Once food arrived hour and minutes after we sat down), it was very inconsistent in quality. Nice carpaccio and pizette, average bolognese, and lasagnas and raviolis that may as well have come straight out of a microwave oven. Needless to say we didn’t try the desserts. The euros (two small bottles of beer) removed from the bill as an apology for the wait wasn’t exactly a grand gesture out of a bill of euros. Try something else, there are plenty of other nice places in Cassis’backstreets. Even if we had not waited that long, the food is not worth the price list."

"Our Airbnb host recommended Angelina's to us as a restaurant with very good food but a little more expensive than some others around Cassis.As many reviewers have commented, the place looks like a bar from the outside, but there is a very pleasant dining room out the back.We started our meal with complementary croutons and tapenade. We ordered fish soup which came with croutons, rouille and grated cheese. The rouille was a little different to some I have had, but very good and really made the soup. We ordered a local white by the glass, selected by the waiter and this was delicious.We then had the shoulder of lamb for 2. I think it's the best lamb I have ever eaten. It was apparently cooked for 48 hours and it really melted in my mouth. The lamb was served with snow peas, carrots and champignons and an olive oil mash. This dish would easily feed 3 people. A small loaf of bread was also served but we didn't even get to try it as we were so full, but it would have been delicious to mop up the sauce of the lamb.Unfortunately we couldn't even think of dessert - even though they looked delicious.While this restaurant wasn't cheap, we did not think it expensive, particularly because of the really excellent quality of the food and good service."

"New restaurant in cassis, visited a few months ago, it wasn't a positive experience at the back of an alley, no terrace, no affichation of prizes, no heartfelt receipt. Little uncomfortable tables and chairs, little considerable staff: No bread, gee follows the wine, limited card, expensive and small portions. Not a rapist."
