"My boyfriend and I went on the last evening of our holiday and what a way to finish it! Food was outstanding (we had fried calamari which were light and crispy, and a grilled octopus which was also perfect, for starters; we then had spaghetti with seafood which were also really really tasty and the service was perfect; and at the end of the meal we were also given complimentary ice cream, and a small bottle of RAKI (a local liquor similar to italian grappa . Bill was only about 40 Euros between the 2 of us : Everything was 10/10, we ate such great food and we got looked after really well! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Finally a kitchen that changes from the one you find every ten meters. Cretan cuisine revisited. A magnificent setting, right on the beach. Vassili and his team welcomed us the first evening of our arrival even though it was late. And shared their sumptuous dishes with us. We came back 8 times to taste almost everything and each time it was perfect. Sparkling wine to welcome you, dessert offered. Cretan generosity. Thank you for everything. "Unfortunately, 3 people got poisoned in the same night... the food was mediocre, the service unfortunately had probably never worked in a restaurant before and they didn 't know how to answer what we asked them... we asked them if wine is half a liter or 250 and they answered it 's a second ... prices a bit stingy for the quality.. but the worst thing that will make us not go again is that while they told us that all the tables were reserved and they told us to sit inside, the reservations never came... when we asked them if we could take out in the back alley a small table with the but they told us that they don 't do that.. nevertheless, while we were eating fine they took tables outside... mockery..."

"Beautiful restaurant facing the coast line, which makes it perfect to watch the sunset while enjoying your evening meal. The staff are incredibly friendly with perfect customer service. It's lovely to see a family working together. I highly recommend their vine leaves and rabbit which was so tender, but the absolute stand out dish has to be their moussaka which quite possibly might be the best on the island! Koutoupas is a must if you love good food, chilled vibes and a beautiful atmosphere."

"Review from my blog thefooddogs: Panoramic sea view, great food, elegant space, seafood flavors....what more could you ask for? The restaurant in today's post needs no special recommendations, Lefteris Lazarou's Varulko is located in Mikrolimanos and is waiting for us all to try its creations, which have also been awarded a Michelin star, a golden cap and a Greek cuisine award. It's been on our to do list for a long time and we finally went, tried it and were blown away by the dishes, the space and the overall experience at Varulko. The list is simple and does not confuse you, the combinations of ingredients are creative and the wine list is endless Let's see what we chose to taste for our first visit: Greek Salad: With cherry tomatoes, caper apples, kritamo, bell pepper and feta mousse (Very cool and she liked the feta mousse . Scallops: Sauteed with chorithos crust, Lotou pickle and tomato water (Baked to perfection...one of the favorite dishes of the evening . Grouper burger: with florin pepper cream and basil (an epic...delicious . Rofomacaronada: With minced shrimp and baked tomatoes (Pasta with minced meat... but with a delicious twist... Must dish!!! Filleted Feta Fish: the fish is selected according to the supply of the day and is served with Peruvian mashed potatoes, caramel sauce and asparagus (Mast, together with rofomacaronada Fooddogakia yes, you will pay a little more but...you will eat dishes with unique taste and live an overall experience that will really be worth every euro you spend. Organize a visit and you will remember us! Have fun!"
