"First visit today after many years of passing-I only ever passed late afternoon.so passing at 730am great chance to see what it’s like…well worth the visit-excellent strong black coffee and a brown baguette with bacon,mushrooms and hash browns in,all this for £6. "I was in a hurry and decided to grab a quick meal but did not have time to send it back (though I really should have) the chilli was lukewarm and the chips tasted very odd. It was not enjoyable but I was in a rush and hadn’t eaten all day. If I hadn’t been in such a rush I would 100% sent it away."

"Sad to say I feel as though this takeaway has gone down hill. Not sure if it has had a change of ownership or chef or a combination of the two! I had always used this place before moving and wasn’t sure if I’d get a delivery to where we are now. Shocked to hear we did so was delighted to be able to order. The trays of house special fired rice had two prawns in the whole tray which was disappointing and the tray seem to have shrunk and the duck with mushrooms was more mushrooms than duck which was tiny grisly bits. The chicken balls were so greasy we couldn’t eat them. I know times are changing and prices are going up but that is no excuse for poor food. Sad to say won’t be ordering again."

"What a beautiful place to have lunch, lives up to the name. The background music the plants and the food made it a great experience. Me and the girlfriend had The Vegan Eggs Benedict and The Smoky Beans. So tasty and very well priced for the quality of ingredients. Sean was our server, he was professional friendly and very funny. Overall a great experience I will be back"

"Me and some friends were working in Exeter for a week and stayed around here. Had a delicious coffee and Turkish eggs here on our first day and then returned the next day and was told they’d stopped serving the breakfast menu even though it said it was served until midday and we got there at 11. Tried again the next day as we thought it must have been a one off but had the same response. It’s a shame the service didn’t match the quality of the food and coffee."

"We tried this during lockdown, popped into the grill to see what it looked like and chatted with the owner, who gave us some samples as we were talking. We ordered lentil soup, lamb doner, lamb beyti, and arranged forcollection. When we collected the food, we picked up a huge bag, which apart from the ordered items above had 3 beautiful breads, two salads, and a home cooked rice pudding and all in huge quantities!! So the food- so the lamb doner- this is a homemade doner and was full of lamb flavour, soft, juicy with crispy edges, just amazing, served with rice and vermicelli, all fabulously cooked. The lamb beyti was divine, well flavoured lamb mince wrapped in bread, and toasted over charcoal, which lent it a Smokey flavour, with charcoal grilled tomatoes, lebnah, and rice vermicelli- totally amazing flavours. Also we had a rich chilli tomato and a flavoured Labnah sauce to go with the food. The lentil soup was different to my usual experience, as I think it had added youghurt(? but was packed with flavour, and delicious, eaten with the fluffy, Turkish breads- mmmmm delicious. And finally, the man himself- really friendly, helpful and obviously an amazing chef!! All in all a totally amazing experience, one that we’ll repeat!!"
