"We had a group function and they were really busy that day and time! The wait stuff could have been more helpful or professional, but they were a bit unprofessional at organising and assisting the menu! Other than that, some dishes were good, some dishes were hit and miss! I like their sashimi, flavours and vinaigrette worked really well on that plate! Scallops were nicely cooked, salads, vegetables were alright but nothing was speacial. I had John Dory as main; as nice as the fish itself,I found the curry sauce is a bit salty and didn’t quite corporate with fish, but seperately they were nice."

"I recently visited this cafe and had a mixed experience with the food and beverages. While the cafe had its highlights, there were certain aspects that left me underwhelmed. Let 's start with the beverages. The orange juice, priced at $8, seemed overpriced considering it was similar to what you can find in a supermarket for a fraction of the cost. Additionally, the taste was not exceptional and had a somewhat artificial flavor. The mango smoothie was meh, nothing extraordinary. The latte lacked that special touch to make it stand out. On the other hand, the mocha was described too strong, but that 's purely a matter of personal preference. Moving on to the food, The Big Vegetarian Breakfast left much to be desired. The tomatoes were sad, and the mushrooms were bland, resulting in an overall underwhelming experience. Despite some dishes being visually appealing, this particular dish didn 't offer much in terms of taste. It was also mentioned that the portion size was not sufficient for a big breakfast. The haloumi, beetroot relish, sautéed spinach, and warm focaccia combination was decent. However, the Eggs Benedict was average and messy to eat, although this could be expected from a dish like Eggs Benedict. There’s not much to say about the chips, they tasted great but the serving size was a bit small. It 's worth noting that while the food didn 't impress, the customer service at La Bottega Café was impeccable. The waitress created a welcoming atmosphere, and the manager was friendly and outgoing. Additionally, the cafe is dog-friendly, which adds to its charm. The cafe creates a visually pleasing atmosphere, especially on sunny days when the natural light floods the space. "Goormd atmosphere, busy Friday night. Around 45-60min wait for food but all in all not bad. Crunchy thin sliced carrots served warmish Beans crunch, served el denta Mushroom Gravy warm, extra as asked. "Emily recently catered for a birthday lunch event. She provided a delicious mouth watering array of Vietnamese rice paper rolls, vegan duck pancakes, fried chicken, salad, chicken rolls!!! All my guests were blown away with the quality and freshness of the food. Emily was incredibly generous of her time and communicated throughout the whole process. I highly recommend a visit to the penny royal and can’t wait to back there again for the vegan duck pancakes. Thank you Emily"
