"This restaurant serves the best dumplings I have probably have ever had. The food was to die for but unfortunately The restaurant is poorly ventilated and when we walked out, we smelled like our dinner for days after that. It may be an uber eats...situation next time! But really really enjoyed the food!"

"They will happily modify most items on their menu to accommodate vegan diners and their chef will be a vegan appetizer and cure on request. the daily “special” starter was slightly modified and delicious. I had the gnocchi (modified) next time I will try the cooking creation."

"We went to Henry House twice during our Halifax visit. The first time we went down into the pub and had drinks. Next evening, we went back for dinner. My wife had fish and chips, and I had salmon fettucine. Both excellent and great ambiance. A Top notch establishment."

"We were a group of 8, thankfully, it's a very large space and they accommodated us for lunch with ease. The food was awesome!!! Everyone agreed, every bite was delicious! The service was great, very enthusiastic and friendly waitress. The staff all work together to ensure everyone is getting what they need.Highly recommend eating here!"

"Stopped in with spouse and son on a Monday night. Had apps, drinks and desert . Will say based on that small sample size (2 apps, 1 salad, 4 drinks, 3 deserts) everything was done really professionally and either "very good" or "excellent" to the point I malt be back for the full meal tomorrow night...."

"Very good over gluten-free and keliac. although everything we have ordered was gluten-free, they have prepared a celiac meal. it was nice that they had gluten-free items on the children's menu and all desserts are gluten-free! Taste eating, excellent service. great experience."

"First time we visited was in September and we tried it again in October and we both loved it. We visited the Backoos to go on Bedford Hwy.Great prices, good whole food. Much better than eating out burgers and fries all the time.We had the Bibimbap beef rice cup and the Dakganglung (boneless chicken).My husband loves hot food, me not so much but it wasn't so bad because I had rice.We will add this place to our fav. list. and next time we will try the fried chicken."

"I'm not a seafood expert. I grew up on the prairies. That's my excuse. Regardless, I wasn't going to pass up on the offer from a local of a lobster dinner upstairs at Salty's. It's been years since I had lobster. My 1½ pounder did not disappoint. It was nicely cooked, all set to be taken apart and eaten. For me, there was just enough melted garlic butter; others may want more. My asparagus was fresh, pinky-finger thin and properly done. Rhubarb crumble for dessert was a fitting finish. I have to admit that, prior to my trip, I was unaware that Nova Scotia had any wineries. The local wine that we had went well with lobster. One guest had the lobster thermadore, calling it the best he'd ever had. Service was friendly and properly attentive."

"Awesome little Vietnamese restaurant on Barrington Street. Had a good bowl of the P9 - pho with beef balls and rice noodles. Great speedy service and staff were super friendly.Came in for an early dinner and was seated straight away. It was quiet - only about 4 other tables of patrons in the restaurant, but I'll put that down to coming in at 5.30pm to have dinner. They have a varied menu with both Chinese and Vietnamese dishes on the menu and decent portion sizes. Lots of people stopping in to collect takeout orders, but the staff were always around refreshing teapots with hot water and asking how the meals are. Prices are good for downtown Halifax."
