"I'd heard about Lallah Rookh for a few years but had never had the opportunity to go. Brother and his girlfriend in town gave me the chance for a family dinner. Very pleasant dining space down stairs in a basement setting. Did not feel cramped or closed in as some basement settings can be. Easy to find the entrance right off St George's Tce. The menu is Italian and full of fresh produce and tasty sounding dishes. We went with the Il Capo or 'feed me' option. This is a surprise menu of 6 dishes designed to be shared by the whole table. 3 entrees, a pasta, a main and a dessert. This is great value at $68 per person. Every dish was visually enticing and all were very tasty. The Panko Crumbed Pork Shoulder was delicious whilst the Spaghetti Vongole was a winner as the pasta dish. The drinks list is extensive and includes a large variety of wines. Tending towards Italian varietals, as you would expect, but from across the globe. Everyone should be able to find a drink that they enjoy. The staff are fantastic. Prompt to serve, clear and assist with any questions you may have. They definitely enhanced the experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant for either a casual after work meal in the city or a more formal night out with family or friends. And definitely go Il Capo!"

"Was looking for a cute cafe for a breakfast date and Layup was the perfect place. The atmosphere was beaitiful, staff were very friendly and proactive and food was amazing. Highly recommend if your in the area."

"I was so excited when I stumbled upon Yummi Mummi one day last year a day I was so hungry, I almost ended up with a strawberry milkshake and chips gravy! Tucked away in the Central Arcade in the city, Yummi Mummi has a range of delicious wraps and rolls (and cupcakes which look divine will have to try them out next time . My favourite menu item is the toasted chicken corn wrap (roasted chicken breast, corn, cheddar cheese, spring onions black pepper mayo then the vegie wrap (spinach, pesto, cheddar cheese, tomato sliced button mushrooms on a spinach tortilla wrap and I don't even like/usually eat mushrooms! . "My impression of this place became positive after visiting during off peak hours. We sat in the outside area, had delicious mushroom and water chestnut spring rolls. Sipped on a Tokyo express cocktail which was amazing, kinda like an espresso martini plus coconut bits on the glass rim and coconut incorporated into the drink. Service was polite and it was great not having to wait in line to order a drink."

"Came here due to a friend's recommendation and was no disappointed at all! Firstly, I just had to comment on the interior design of the restaurant - how 'wealthy' it is yea?! It felt pretty luxurious and the plating had a fine food cuisine feel to it. <br>

So you might be thinking, it's probably pretty pricey but you're wrong bc it's actually so reasonable! The food was so good as well! We had the tom yum soup and it was divine???????? The sour and spiciness in the soup defo gave my tastebuds a punch! The green curry was so good where do I even start? However it is rather spicier than I thought as green curry's usually not as spicy. The fried rice were made really well, not too dry not too moist, just right. The sticky rice on the other hand was pretty good as well. I wished they had some mango desert as that's quite popular for Thai cuisine.<br>

Overall, this was definitely a lil gem I found so near to where I stay. Don't see any reason not coming back again and you...
