"My parents live close to The Oast House but have never tried it before so having spend a few days staying with me down on the South Coast, on bringing them back home I suggested we pop in and try it. The restaurant was quite...quiet but the staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. What can I say... the food was first class indeed my dad said it was the best Sunday Roast he'd ever had (quickly adding away from home' before my mom could be offended We all had the beef which was cut nice and thickly, with a couple of roast and new potatoes on the plate and a side bowl of vegetables. They even bought my dad an extra jug of gravy! All of the food was cooked lovely, and they beef cuts were perfect. After finishing our meal, we joked that we hadn't even asked the price and my dad said he was expected at least a tenner as they go to local carveries and pay that sort of amount. You can imagine his surprise (and my delight as I was paying! when the bill came and the meals were each excellent value for a Sunday Roast these days. As locals, they will definitely be coming back once the restrictions have eased but in the meantime I suspect they'll be trying out the takeaway options! Top class, high quality food. We can all highly recommend The Oast House."

"Staff not trained, took 3 phones to get confirmation of booking. On arrival 40 mins before 14.00 hours told room was ready but if wanted access before 14.00 hours a £10 cost would be applied. When got on bed felt like sunk to the floor, windows keep no noise out. Would never use again. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1"

"Not easy to find a dog-friendly place to eat nice food in this opposite, but this pub tick both boxes. we wanted to take our sweetheart with us for Sunday dinner, but fought to find suitable everywhere. the meat here offers a delicious selection of roast meat, including lamb. and there is an excellent and varied selection of vegetables, all well cooked. it's a busy pub on the outskirts of town, so it's a bit loud. but families are welcome and employees are happy and helpful. we enjoyed our lunch and doggo! the prices are reasonable. generous. What is that?"

"Attended: Sunday 9/10/22 2 pm. Just a quick point about the actual website. It is really geared to events, and open at varying times for Sunday lunch. So, I couldn't actually find a menu. Moving on.... I told the restaurant that I couldn't have cheese in or on my food. They checked with me regarding the certain meals, which was good. Friendly welcome, and great staff. The venue lovely. We all went for the Sunday roast, except my daughter. I'll list the items, and leave the niggles at the end. 1 x Le Serre, Chardonnay £24.50 3 x Cokes 330ml 7.50 1 x pink Flamingo Cocktail £9.50 1 x Pravha £5.00 2 x S P Squid £14.80 2 x Moroccan Haloumi £14.80 1 x Confit Chicken £16.95 2 x Free Range Chicken £33.90 1 x Topside of Beef £17.95 1 x Churros £6.40 3 x Sticky Toffee Puddings £20.70 1 x Coffee Amricano £3.00 1 Double Hennessy Fine £28.00 1 x Espresso Martini £8.00 Sub Total £211.00 Service Charge £21.10 Total £232.10 I checked that the staff do get their share of the service charge, except the managers. All the starters were fine, I'd have like more chilli and had my daughters, but that's me being picky. The mains were all good, I tried my son's beef, and it was melt in your mouth, my free range chicken roast was very faloursome. The sweets were good in flavour, and son enjoyed his Churros, my wife couldn't finish her ST pudding as it was too much for her. The niggles, and no stars lost: The roast potatoes were a bit bland in tast, so not sure what fat was used at home I goose fat . They were large, and I like large roast potatoes, but I found the outside hard to cut trhough. My guess is that they are cooked up early in the day and kept warm. That's for the chef to say. The roast chicken seem to be left bereft without some stuffing. Sticky Toffee Pudding It was always was going to be a challenge as it's one of my wife's signature dishes. It was OK, but felt like just sponge and could have done with more toffee sauce. Ice cream on top, was good, being greedy, I could done with more. : The Brandy My favourite tipple at the end of a meal with a coffee. I was asked if I want cold or warm milk, Ilke being given the option. Unfortunately, the brandy was served in a cold glass and it deserved a warmer one. Cusping my had around the glass didn't really help. Would I go back? Yes. No points taken off for the niggles. An issue for the hard of hearing is that there is no soft furning to take up some of the sound, and the background music was a drone on my hearing. I have two hearing aids and the two main settings didn't help. I was picking up the loud spekers on the other tables, which made it hard for me hear right near my own family. Hearing aids tend to pick up the loudest noise. The musak was an unnecessary distraction. :"

"Chips were a little under done but tasted lovely despite this. Gluten free cod had a perfect batter and was well cooked. Owner was extremely friendly and there was no problem with ordering via telephone, We collected our order within 30 mins and packaging was clearly labeled with gluten free. Will make a return visit when next in the area. Dietary restrictions: Catered for gluten free and double checked that the battery didn't contain milk which it didn't. Owner proudly told us that there was a dedicated fryer for gluten free etc. Parking: Parking is available in the car park opposite the co-op bit it is on the other side of the road which can be just so go careful! There's no stopping directly outside the shop. Wheelchair accessibility: Shop fronts onto the path and there may be a small lip at the door frame but I can't remember for certain"

"I and my friends, including my mother, could not get enough of how amazing it was to eat. the taste was divine and lets you want more. the main I had was bark meat that fell perfectly apart was so beautiful and tender and the makrelen pâté was to begin mouth water. it is a really cozy atmosphere, and really worth every penny. very good value for money. the service was really friendly and overall and amazing at night! I really recommend taking a beloved or family! perfect environment."
