"We were I town for a 3 day convention and having follower the previous chef owner Danny St.Pierre, it was a perfect time to try it out as it was also our 34th wedding anniversary. We had a 6:15 reservation...perfect, as the later evening crowd had not arrived so, it was quiet. We were seated by the window with view on the terrace.From start to finish we were served by the very attentive and professional Alexandre. We started out with cocktails a microbrewery lager for hubby and a Manhattan...a little on the bourbon side, just the way I like it! We decided to try the famous poutine inversee which was fun!!! We both picked the pork tenderloin. Our entree was the petales de tomates glaceesfor me and a beet salad with local goat cheese and green grapes both delicious.our pork was very good albeit slightly overdone for our taste and my hubby felt the sauce was a bit too bitter but, again a matter of personal taste! We chose a Cote du Rhone Clos De La Mure which complemented our meal perfectly! Too full for desert, we brought back to our hotel the delicious cheesecake and chocolate tart with popcorn!! They packaged it the same as if leaving a pastry shop. As a little surprise, a white chocolate mousse with sparkler for our special day...we shared...delish! The restaurant's ambiance was relaxed, very nice decor and enjoyable chill lounge music in the background. Our meal came out to 164.00 + tip of a well deserved 20%. We heartily recommend this gem in the heart of beautiful downtown Sherbrooke."

"I recently visited village de chine for the first time and I will definitely be going back. I was in a group of 4 and we had a shared meal for 4 people. There would have been plenty for 5 people as we were quite full and each left with a doggie bag. The service was very good. The waiter refilled our glasses before they were empty and was very polite, speaking either English or French to us according to what we were speaking to each other. I will be back before too long to introduce it to friends."

"Took an hour to get the order. The food was: Cold! Raw! Overpriced! The only thing I can highlight is the attention of the waiter for the drink. Very friendly. Definitely, a 150$ dollars badly spent. Without more to say!"

"Nous sommes allé à ce restaurant à l'automne 2016 et la nourriture est simplement insipide. Des pâtes avec de la sauce en canne sans assaisonnement et un prix excessif pour la qualité de la nourriture servie. Est-ce parce que nous sommes tombés sur la journée pour laquelle le cuisinier était en vacances? Nous nous questionnons encore après plusieurs mois. Une chose est certaine, nous n'y retournerons pas."
