"A lovely day and a lovely Lunch, went with Family, we had 3 different main courses, the ramen, quiche and Lasagna, followed by 2 Lemon Tarts and a couple of scoops of ice-cream, a couple of pints and 2 other drinks with a tip and the total was £90. The Staff were attentive without being obtrusive and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant, and the added attraction of the Shropshire Bedlams Martha Rhodens Tuppeny Dish Morris dancing team celebrating Midsummer Rejoicing. All in all a very nice expereince."

"Eat was nice, well cooked, and I guess I said what they were not on stock before ordering, but when my partner ordered a meal with meat dripping gravy and came with chicken engraving we had to request the right engraving as per menu. they have changed it for us, but this is the only reason I have not given 5 stars."

"Online booking for table for dinner and rugby on the booking line of marston. I then arranged pub directly to check that I was given table near screen to see game. I called on Thursday to check our booking and was told the table. number and showed that it was near a big screen. when we showed up sat to see the game, we had been moved to another table/room without screen. I was told by the manager that I was wrong and we had never got another table. (they had a booking for people in our original room, which must be taken after my visit on Thursday). fortunately we found another table in the corner and watched the fit there, but when we asked to order food, we were told that the kitchen was not served! total disorganisation and terrible customer service. I have sent marstons with my mind emails and, while they seemed very understanding in their answer, the credits they were sent as compensation, was a sweat not even a drink everyone for the four of us!"

"I will be honest we only picked here because it was the only place open on a Monday evening near where we were staying on holiday. I’m glad we did. The place was spotlessly clean and had a lovely spacious layout. The food was fab and the staff were very attentive. My husband and I both had the fish and chips which was really good. They did have a kids menu but our kids fancied something off the adult menu which they shared between them, it ended up being the perfect amount for two little ones and the staff were great at getting extra plates and cutlery to divide the food up. We had a very yummy desert and left feeling very pleased we had started our holiday with a meal at the nags head."

"Stopped here for a drink whilst on a narrow boat holiday, nice friendly welcome from Martin, the landlord. Good beer I’m told by one of our party! Decided to come back for dinner on our return journey. Once again we were greeted with a friendly...welcome and shown to our table (socially distanced from other diners of course) . There was a nice atmosphere as quite a few of the locals were in the bar area having drinks. The menu was very varied and I chose the lasagna which probably wasn’t the best option. One of our party had the gammon which he said was excellent."
