"We found Cantina de'Corvi in our wanderings around Spoletto, and liked the menu which advertised traditional Umbrian fare. We also very much liked the location next to a church built in the 12th century, and is itself in the cellars of a 15th century palazzo. We were seated in a stone lined domed room and enjoyed the attention of the host who advised us on some wine, the food, and at our request, a little history. The restaurant advertises that is an osteria di tradizione . We started with a glass each of rose that was crisp and dry, and very good as an aperitif. It was mainly sangiovese. For the meal we shared a half litre of house red which was a blend of sagrantino, cabernet, merlot and sangiovese that matched the food well. As a house wine it was a good one, locally made, with lots of fruit showing through. We had pasta as a first course, pappadelle al ragu di cinghuale (wild boar meat sauce), and stragozzi which is a thicker form of spaghetti, with a sauce of green beans, pork, and pecorino cheese. These were delicious, and not too large. We followed the pasta with a serve of carpaccio di manzo marinato alle erbe fini, and a serve of maialino in porchetta with roast potatoes. The carpaccio was a generous serve of very thinly sliced beef fillet marinated with a herb dressing. The maialino was a roll of roast pork with herbs. We shared a small plate of chicoria, steamed and served like spinach, but quite peppery. Coffee completed an excellent lunch."

"Slightly off the beaten track on a small square and a little difficult to find. It is really nicely presented, clean with indoor and outdoor covered seating. The menu is not extensive but carries typical Tuscan fare. There is a small bar and a really nice selection of wines and beers. The food was delicious, nicely cooked, tasty and not a bad plate full. The staff were friendly and attentive, but spoke little if any English. Beautiful little restaurant, well worth the effort of finding. Not bad value for money either."

"I've been very satisfied with this restaurant. The service and the personal were great, always available and always kind. The cooking was excellent: the stringozzi and each type of pasta on the menu are hand-made and freshly prepared, so maybe waiting times for each dish are not very fast, but the final result it's worth it! I'm sure I will come back there since I've been very happy!"

"Four of us went to dinner at this charming little osteria hosted by Angela (front of house) and Giacomo (chef). A superb meal I like choosing osterias in Italy because of the special attention, service and food one receives from the hosts. After a great dinner I had the pappardelle with truffles and porcini mushrooms, while the others had pappardelle with cinghiale (wild boar sauce), Angela then insisted we try her canoli with mascarpone and pistachios as Angela is originally from Sicilia, the home of canoli, these were fantastic and obviously a recipe handed down through the years. A great experience."
