"In 2013, I wrote a review for Yin 's, a restaurant my mother frequented as a teenage and we made our go to after her mother sold her home in the early 1980s. I raved about it because I loved the place the food was great, the place was clean and the service was top notch. The ambiance has never been wonderful for anyone who wasn 't looking to recall the good old days of their mother but it was fine. The last few years, I couldn 't understand why the food wasn 't very good (greasy, burnt and why there was no pie!!! I loved Yin 's for the PIE! I never thought that Yin 's might have been sold outside of the family. It had been Yin 's for many, many decades (not since 1971 since the 1940s! . When I learned that it had changed hands, the lightbulb went off. The new owners don 't care about the tradition or the food. They 're trying to make a living which is fair but that doesn 't mean that I need to drop in anymore. Heck, we made a special effort to pick up Yin 's and bring it home last Christmas Eve. That was a waste of time and effort not to mention money. If I thought that they would improve now, I 'd try again but it has been years now without improvement and it makes me so sad. I 'm sure I can find another place to eat when I 'm in the area. I wish them well. But even more, I wish they 'd tried harder to maintain the standards of Yin 's. Had they done so, they wouldn 't need my good wishes they 'd have my money!"
