"My crab cake was just okay. It had a sourness to it. Maybe too much lemon mixed in? The risotto wasn't as creamy, as it was sticky. The vegetables were limp and overcooked. I didn't eat them any more than to taste them. The quantity of food was very good. The peanut butter porter was outstanding!! Great little waitress. Very friendly. I liked what the menu offered; American fare, nothing unapproachable. The soups were good. The pimento cheese spread was good and a nice free starter. I'd go back. Although the food wasn't brag worthy, it certainly was good. A decent, friendly, clean, moderately priced restaurant in the Haymarket area. The name threw me off, though. Culinary, to me, meant it would be unique and maybe high end style meals. Underground also, to me, said something unique and maybe even so good I'd want to keep it a secret so the place wouldn't get so crowded and I could always get it. The food was more on a par with Applebees. Still. A decent place downtown."

"I had a great time, 14 people at our table, waited for nothing, excellent service. Pizza looked good, my steak was cooked the way I asked for it, and priced right. What I would I would really like to have seen is a baked potato, but I'm sure they have their reasons. Going back tonight."

"I used to always like this place!! But it's really gone downhill recently! Which is too bad because its really a cool place with a great atmosphere!! But for some reason they decided to change things make you order everything at the Bar which takes forever a day because They are so slow taking orders and there is a lot of people in line!! The food you CAN order on your phone at your table if you want. But for Me that's one of the main reasons I go out to eat I think most people do too. And that is to be waited on!! NOT to have to do everything yourself!!! So I'm Not sure why they decided to go with this new way of doing business but I know I won't be going back in the mean time!!! I think I hear Black Angus Cattlemen's calling!!"

"This is a casual restaurant. At first I felt that it was very dark and my cell phone light used to read the menu. The ambience was beautiful. The waitress was really good to keep drinks filled and the bread before dinner was delicious. It seemed pretty amusing to come for our food, but when it did, it was very good. Overall we all enjoyed our experience."
