"We visited Spencers in the square to celebrate my daughters engagement. Although we have explained this during the booking, this was not mentioned on or before our visit. But that wasn't really important. We had drinks and four different main courses. I chose chickens with honey and lemon sauce served with cut fried potatoes in their skins and green beans. It was delicious, but could have done with another veg. The others had darkened burgers, steak and beef in red wine. Everyone thought their food was great. We have eaten here many times before, including Sunday dinners and the food and service has improved enormously. A beautiful stylish restaurant that is really comfortable in the city centre."
