"Yesterday night here. what a nice place to stay. rooms were beautifully decorated and had a luxurious feeling. a beautiful note were the freshly baked biscuits all pre-conceived enveloped. they were delicious. also enjoyed browsing through the cook very own cookbook, which was also in the room. the meal was first-class quality all made from local products and although the restaurant was busy workers were attentive and made the entire experience here to stay very special. the breakfast was also great with a large menu choice all freshly cooked to order no buffet style.) we will definitely be back"

"I love this beautiful place, great setting, ambience and plenty of things to see and buy, yikes keep me out of the garden centre! Organised a table for 6 of us to visit here yesterday lunchtime to celebrate my Mom 's 85th birthday. The online booking system is very good and you confirm your booking by way of an online reminder a couple of days before. Really good service with a smile and we had a variety of different starters and mains, every single choice we all had was brilliantly cooked and presented. We all skipped deserts as the starters and mains were more than enough. Plenty of cocktails (the whisky one had the most 'generous ' shot of whisky I 'd ever tasted in a cocktail), wine and spirits to choose from and hot drinks too. 3 of our party drink Malbec wine (not a fan personally) but that was the only red grape region missing off the drinks list. We had ample time to linger at our table which was great. I asked if we needed to move after 2 hours for another sitting which would have been fair enough but we were warmly told that we were ok to stay put which we very much appreciated . Great meal, great day and some lovely new memories."

"The slow-cooked beef was perfection, but the sauce slightly oily. The toast that came with the delicious terrine was rock-hard and just disintegrated. My date (my wife) sang the praises of the herb-crusted hake. My only real objection was that the lighting was VERY dim, to the extent that it was tricky to distinguish different parts of the food. Overall, though, it was excellent value."

"Staff are friendly and service very good, but the chef has to drill through hot plates that would help isolate food (use white napkins to keep plates that are often practiced with the heat and prevents touch of the plate). The plate was cold to the table and the food was not warm enough. The food of Sunday roast was not the most pleasant, because only was not warm enough (before the food was hotter). We hope this can happen for the next time, let us know if it is done to calm us down."
