"As we would say in the UK not everybody's cup of tea. This is not a conventional modern hotel. It is an old building with a fun quirky artist interior. For my daughter and I it was perfect. She had a super cool Crashpad room and I had the Music Room. Everything was well thought through. Great attention to detail. The adjoining cafe was so friendly for breakfast. Perfect for someone wanting an informal base to explore Toronto."

"First time here and I really enjoyed it. Relaxing ambiance, very comfortable as well, music wasn't too loud, dim lighting, no complaints there. Both our waitress and the bartender were awesome -- super attentive and friendly. As for the food, we started off with the calamari which had a very rubbery taste (I guess because it didn't look like it was battered). I've definitely had better calamari and wouldn't get that again from here. For my main dish I got the fish tacos which I must say I found very bland. There was too much on the tortilla to even wrap it up like a taco and the tortilla itself was extremely thin so it kept ripping. My boyfriend got the Local Burger with fries which he said was a decent burger. I loved how it was a large portion of fries they served with the burger that also tasted great. Although I didn't like my food that much, I loved the service and would like to return to try something else."

"Holts Cafe in her Bloor shop has entered the 2nd floor next to the shoe department. I enjoyed the BLT salad with a brewed green tea iced tea. Both were excellent! It is a bright atmosphere and ideal for lunch, brunch and afternoon tea. Reserve... on open table. Absolutely come back!"

"The service could have been more attentive given that we were the only customers for most of the evening. However, the food was excellent and it's a great place to have conversation over dinner, very quiet. The two low points: the atmosphere was rather bleak. And I was sad to see Norman Hardie on the wine list, given the abuse he's dished out to women. That doesn't reflect well on the restaurant."

"She came to try some exotics. Something disappointed. My duck breast was chewing, a little dry. the Comote has not gelled. I had a bite of my friends Wildboar. This did not give the flavors of Wild Boar otherwise very tasteful. Loved the idea of the game, but pure...covered."
