"Went to the Dorset Arms on the way back from Sheffield Park. Lovely welcome and good atmosphere. Limited menu and no lunch time items. However, I had the sole slips and my Husband had the barsteak. Couldn't believe how small and pretentous the servings were. No embleshment and nothing to write home about. My fish had little flavour. Over priced and not somewhere I would revisit as consequence. Much better value for money in other local pubs."

"Went with my grown up children. Had a lovely evening with nice cocktails, wine and other drinks. We all ordered from the bar menu. We ordered pizzas which were lovely with gourmet chips. Food, drinks and service excellent."

"We had a 2 night stay in the hotel for my daughter's wedding so we had 2 breakfasts, one a la carte dining and one wedding breakfast. On all occasions the food and service were exemplary. A huge bonus was the availability of Severn and...Wye smoked salmon. This has long been my favourite smoked salmon and it is highly recommended thank you for serving it !!"

"A lovely little cafe situated in a garden centre on Ashdown Forest. Having gazed at delicious looking cakes and scones on the counter, our light lunch arrived after a 45 mins wait, by this time very hungry. The large jacket potato was far from large and had been microwaved so no crispy skin and just cooked. The so call roasted vege as a filling, dare I say had not been roasted and tasteless. Plus a few slices of goats cheese. A small inadequate , poorly presented meal for the price. Instead of a lovely big chunk of fresh crispy bread on the ploughman’s, there was one of those small repacked frozen baguettes meant for the oven. Ours and all the others in the restaurant looked a pale insipid colour. We wished we had, had a piece of cake. But we were out for lunch and wanted a bit more. NOT a satisfying meal."
