"My wife and I we're not impressed at all. I had sausage cheese omelette potatoes and biscuit with gravy. My wife had egg white omelet with bacon potatoes and biscuit. My omelette and potatoes came out almost 5 minutes before her omelette did. My biscuitwith gravy came out about 3 minutes after she got her omelette. The potatoes on my plate and I put a picture to show thedifference they put the burnt side down and the side that look good up on the plate, some were so burnt I couldn't eat them.They weren't real busy when we got there, but they did have a party I have about 12 to 14 already seated waiting for their food.So that party might be one reason why our food came out different time."

"Added our name to the waitlist but when we arrived, they told us they just sat a party of and it would be a long wait unless we sat in the bar. We sat in the bar and placed our order, but everything came out at different times and it took a long time to get drinks from the bar"

"Stopped in for lunch during a break at our family reunion yesterday. There were 7 of us and 1 employee! Kicking myself for not getting his name, but he ROCKED it! Took our orders, went back to make the food, came out to help some other customers that came in, kept us topped off on drinks, brought out the food (which was awesome, FYI! and had a great disposition the entire time! This guy definitely deserves a raise! Would definitely go there a lot more if I lived there and not CA, but will definitely go back next time I'm in IL!Kid-friendliness: My kids are 15 and 13 and the employee was cracking jokes with my son the whole time. My daughter was hiding in a back corner of our table, though, so he let her be!"

"Incredibly nice staff and comfortable place to hang out. They let me sit and study more often than not and when it was due time for a rush, were polite in communicating the need for the space I was using (as I spread out pretty heftily). When there were creepy men around they would watch over me and help keep me safe and helped me feel safe each time I was there. They were always on top of checking each table if they needed anything and were always aware of the needs of their customers. Their food is jncredible and their drink selection is vast. I love the outside area with the tables holding glass rocks on top of the fire pits and the music selection is ON POINT. I'm so grateful to have found such a wonderful spot to spend my time alone and so grateful to not have felt alone while there. I didn't need alcohol to feel welcome which is such a rarity in any given place. I love these guys and will always recommend Gateway Grill. (The points system they have is absolutely worth it, too, even if you don't visit often)"
