"By far the Lion's Den Lounge- is a Hidden Gem on the North Side of Red Deer locatrd in the Quality Inn Hotel. From the outstanding staff, IMPECCABLE service, cold and tasty drinks and TO DIE FOR Menu- to the fun and welcoming atmosphere you can not go wrong or have a bad time in the LIONS DEN. LACIE AND JEN do a phenomenal job running the joint, along with server Tyra, your bound to have a cutie waitress keeping your drinks filled and you company!! Tell them Cortney sent ya!!!"

"An expensive mediocre experience sums up our visit today. I wanted to order the Southwest Taco Salad until I was asked what kind of protein I wanted and informed that if I wanted taco meat it would be another $5.75 on top of the $17. A taco salad...without the taco meat...ludicrous. So then I ordered the Thai Peanut Wrap and paid for my protein of choice, in this case chicken, and an extra $5 or so dollars, still under $20 so ok, I can live with that. When it arrived I could tell right away it was dry but I decided to give it a go. It so dry and tasteless I could not eat it. The peanut sauce didn't taste like anything other than peanut butter and they grilled the wrap with lettuce inside so it was slimey and gross. I tried taking the filling out of the wrap to see if it would help, still dry and tasteless. This shouldn't even be on the menu. It's not that the cooks didn't anything wrong, it's just a bad recipe. My husband's BLT was very tasteless and the bread was very over toasted and the bacon was hard. I will say though that the fries were good, so at least there's that. It's really unfortunate, I used to love The Hideout, but I don't love this new direction they've decided to try. They did give me a $5 coupon because I didn't eat the wrap...but I won't be back. Such a beautiful location, it could be great."

"How much do I love Rusty Pelican let me count the ways! The extensive wine list for sure. Best place in Red Deer to meet up with friends for a bottle of wine and just enjoy the ambiance. I personally recommend the Prime rib and slow roasted BBQ ribs. One of the few places in town where you order your steak exactly how you like it and actually get it that way. Service is always great and portion sizes are very good. Did I mention Chocolate Utopia cake? I have never left that restaurant without a slice to go. I highly recommend Rusty Pelican."
