"I'm from Newfoundland, and after a three month visit I was craving one of my favorite foods from back home, donairs! My family and I were making an hour long drive looking for a spot with a great poutine and reddit recommended Sam's. One look at the menu and we notice that they also have some Newfie favorites like a Newfie mess and a classic donair. We were sold immediately! We tried a donair each along with a classic poutine, a couple of bacon poutines and a mango milkshake.My nephew said the mango milkshake was the best drink he's ever had, he was upset that it was gone. The donair made me feel like I was home, absolutely delicious. The bacon poutine was tasty. It was all around a satisfying meal. If we ever travel to Guelph again we'll definitely be back to this restaurant. The service was extraordinary, extremely friendly as well. They really know service with a smile"

"This is as close to authentic poutine as you can get in Guelph. The gravy is excellent and the fries are well done. I have not tried anything else on the menu so I cannot speak to that. As is usually the case with poutine, it is heavy and heart attack inducing but hey that's the point! A little bit expensive for a small size but is worth it if you have a craving. If you are looking for Quebec style poutine with the "squeaky" curds... this is your place."
