"We went to celebrate my daughter’s and mother’s birthday. It was highly recommend by my sister’s coworker. It was okay for Montgomery. The atmosphere was nice but most people were in jeans and t shirts even though it’s a fancy restaurant. The head hostess was really nice and professional. There were three of them but she was the only one who had the attitude and professionalism to go with the atmosphere. We spent about $50 per person which could have easily been way more expensive. My food was just okay for the price. I had the chopped steak and it was not seasoned at all. It came with plain white rice and gravy which didn’t have much taste. I had the asparagus which were cooked perfectly. Those that ordered the trout said it was good. I tasted a piece of my daughter’s steak and it was seasoned well and tender. I’m not sure about the shrimp but someone ordered it at the table. The service was great from our server although he did “correct” my sister when it was brought to his attention that the food was incorrect. Other than that he was way more upbeat than the other servers. Other than our server and the hostess, the other employees seemed very gloomy like they really didn’t want to be there. The chocolate cake was excellent. Overall it’s one of the nicest places I’ve been to in Montgomery. Cloverdale definitely has the best vibes. If my food was seasoned I would have given 4 stars. If the staff was more friendly I would have given 5 stars. But 3 stars for a great date night with just okay food and dry attitude."

"Mixed Feelings. Normally, Shashy's is an excellent location to bring my office friends for an outstanding lunch. The beef tenderloin is absolutely amazing. The baked goods are phenomenal, the owner is a friendly guy who goes out of his way to make sure everyone is having a great meal, and the place is clean and elegant. However, the last time that I was in the restaurant, one of his blonde waitresses must have been having a pretty bad day. Not only was she short with my group and I, but when I went up to pay for our meal, she was quite literally cussing in front of the customers, slamming drawers and cabinets, stomping about and complaining about something or other. I was slightly concerned that the woman would say such foul things in front of paying customers. The poor girl at the register looked so embarrassed and concerned that the older woman would act in such a manner. I love Shashy's, but maybe some employee restrictions should be put into place."

"Food was ok. Not seasoned. Drinks are really good. Service is pretty good and friendly Inspection score is 80!! Unacceptable. Should be closed until issues corrected. Dinning area floor was slick with grease. Several of us customers almost bust our butts. Had to hold on to chairs. This is likely the result of using the same mop for kitchen and dining area. "
