"Looking for a nice relaxing curry and decided to try out Golden Curry Hut. It was a little strange to visit on a Saturday evening with no customers inside. Not deterred we went ahead with our order typical BIR order of Chicken Tikka Masala and Aloo Tikki. The order took a bit of time to come out, but eventually we had our food. I was surprised that the Aloo Tikki came with so much sauce I thought that I had ordered soup. The flavor was good so we continued. The Chicken Tikka masala, while tasty and obviously lots of fresh ingredients, was not the decadent cream and yoghurt based tomato based dish I was expecting, more of a ‘healthy style’ interpretation. While I accept that I may have unrealistic expectations, every CTM I have previously had made me regret my life due to it being so delicious I had to lick the plate clean, and this wasn’t it. "My family and I went for dinner here and it was amazing! The staff were very welcoming; especially the lady who greeted us when we entered. We were advised to scan the provided QR code for the menu and quickly ordered our dinner. We first ordered some masala chai which was good! Made me feel like I'm right back at home in Fiji. My family really enjoyed their food, while I enjoyed the Mango chicken and cheese Naan that I ordered for myself! Restaurant was clean and very accommodating. Will definitely come back here if we visit Melbourne again "

"Dined here with work mates at lunch and the dishes ordered were mixed veggies, potato palak, butter chicken and ghormeh sabzi. The standout dishes were the potato palak and butter chicken. As was garlic and potato nan. Portion sizes were reasonably generous for the price and overall, quite yummy. The service while friendly, could have be more attentive, for example, we were a party of 6 but only given 3 glasses of water and it took a little bit of time to have our order taken."

"The definition of a hidden gem. Having last come here in the youth of my age, I remembered having my first ever Naan experience here and enjoying it very much. Today we return ready for some Indian cuisine and we were not disappointed.<br/ <br/ Service here is unique in that you write down your orders and ring a bell for an attendee. The food here can be best described as authentic, homely and very flavoursome. Today we opted for the butter chicken, garlic and cheese naan, coconut rice and samosa Chaat. To start, the butter chicken is very unique in flavour, having a very crisp smoky barbecue flavouring. The chicken itself was very succulent and tender, complimented perfectly by the rich sauce and oil infused flavours. Definitely a very very delicious butter chicken. The naan breads were like just how I remembered. Tasty, oozing with flavour and went very well with the butter chicken. The Samosa Chaat was also one of the better ones we have had, with the yoghurt and sauces mixing well. The coconut rice was well, not coconut at all and more coconut sprinkled on top so it tasted more like saffron rice.<br/ <br/ A very enjoyable indian Experience and definitely up there as one of our favourites. "I love my Indian food but it's so hard to find a place that can make it how I like it. I like it HOT and these guys can do this without losing any of the flavor that goes with traditional Indian food. I tried this restaurant the first week they opened and have been back every week since. I highly recommend family run business. Mild or hot, please give them a try."

"Friendly attentive service. Mixed grilled entree was very flavoursome with a nice variety of meats. Perfect starter for 2. The dahi puri were great. Crispy shell, minted yoghurt, tangy centre. Could eat 100 of them. The cheese naan was good. A little thinner than most places but that also have it a nice crunch. The vindaloo was ok. It was a bit too salty. Overall great service, good Indian dishes."
