"This is honest to goodness Italian pizza... Well, that's how I've always imagined Italian pizza, anyway. I was told about Desano by a friend several years ago. He said it was the best pizza in Nashville and he was 100% right. If you're debating between Joey's and Desano, go with Desano 100% of the time. The service is friendly and fast. They use ovens that cook the pizzas in around 2 minutes. The crust is thin and has the perfect amount of chewiness. I could literally drink the sauce. I always ask for extra on the side to dip my crust. I'm not usually a fan of meaty pizzas, but I am at Desano. They only use the finest and freshest ingredients. My family normally orders the "Desano". I believe it has pepperoni and sausage delivered from Chicago. The cheese is too good to describe with words. I'm a big foodie so I'm always trying new places, but Desano has been my favorite for years. Simply can't beat it."

"The menu online looked plentiful and quirky, but when we arrived... the experience was underwhelming. The patio was disorganized and the interior was dark and the floors were sticky. All the staff were friendly and helpful but the selection of vegan pizza you can order by the slice is limited — just one. : The slice itself was a tad underwhelming, too. Despite the upcharge for vegan cheese, there was only about 4 blots of it in total. The sauce smelled like tomato paste and was mostly flavorless. The selection of topping veggies was good, but again, pretty scarce. Updated from previous review on 2020-07-26"

"If you order a slice, just add the coverings to a pre-cooked piece of cheese pizza. It's extremely greasy and the staff is just rude. If you decide the delivery, you should prepare to wait because it takes forever because you can not quote waiting times. This pizza is also not cheap and calculating for refilling."

"Had an amazing meal here last Friday. First, I love that they keep their porch and bar seating available for walk-ins. My wife and I showed up a little before their 5pm opening time, and were seated right away. We started with small plates (Frico and Cabbage w/ Field Peas), then I demolished pizza with belly ham, mozzarella, Grans Padano, Oregano Chilies. Eventually my wife invited me to help her finish off her order of Corncake, eggplant and beets. It ALL was delicious, as were the the three cocktails we tried: Bandit, Frankie and Vixen (see their menu for details). Our server Michael was friendly and attentive, expediting a quick dessert order for us (Peanut Butter Coca Cola Cake) so that we could make our 7pm visit to the Opry. I can't imagine visiting Nashville without swinging by City House again!!"

"This place is definitely one of my favorite go-to restaurants in East Nashville. You have a really good happy hour with delicious little bites and cocktails. But the best part for us is the large terrace, and they allow us to bring our dogs. We have met many other really nice people there with dogs. The staff is so friendly and welcomes us every time. Love, love, love this place!"

"Great beer selection and was the first Dive Bar I visited on my trip. Only downside was the cigarette smoke, not used to that coming from Australia but no big deal. Happily had a couple of beers on a Friday night and watched some baseball."

"This is by far the best tasting pizza ive had. And Ive had pizza from coast to coast. The crust, sauce, cheese and all the added items are always fresh and delicious Im so happy I live near a Brooklyn store. I wish I could have taken a picture that does the pizza justice. Try them. Youll be glad you did."
