"From fantastic snacks, to the most beautiful beer this has to be Lille's number 1 spot. We visited in September, on night 1 and night 6 of our stay. On night 6, we dabbled with the Caroline Reaper Stout at 12%. It is easily the best thing that I have ever tasted. It is strong, so be careful, if you see it on your visit. The staff are fun and friendly. The atmosphere is polite with a mix of nationalities. I met Brits, Aussies and of course, lots of lovely people from Lille. The music playlist is perfect. From ambient beats, to indie music to lo fi and IDM. It makes for quite the evening. Food is available, including a beautiful Aubergine Caviar for us vegetarians. If I remember rightly, at only 6eur for a pot and bread. Disabled access friendly. Lower floor for extra seating. In the heart of the old town."

"This place was shutting just as we got there around 10.30pm, but they stayed open sereve us. Great. The steak taratar was pretty good, although, this being my third one in as many days, I was a bit over the taste. The salad, whilst sounding very tasty on the menu, was just a collection of ingredients (and the one that I liked the most, fresh orange, was in short supply!). Wines were very expensive, and even the house was 17 euro - so probably about 2 stars thus far. However, 5 stars for the desert - creme brulee is my favourite desert - if it ever on the menu, no matter what else is avialble, I always order it. So Ive had hundreds in my life - and this was by far the best Ive eaten. Not dry or overcooked (so it ends up tasting eggy), and not too runny. Just perfect. So overall 3 stars then."

"We had a wonderful meal at this little place tucked away in Lille. It is a small, cosy restaurant with an emphasis on fresh food. The waitress who I presume was the owner was so hospitable and extremely patient with us. Although we had worked out most of the menu there were a few things we weren't sure about but she was happy to translate. The food is simple but delicious. Everything is fresh and seasonal and cooked to perfection. The menu is not extensive but there were sufficient choices and each dish we had was wonderful.The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed and there aren't many tables perhaps 20 to 22 covers. Even though it is a small restaurant the tables are well spaced and diners are not on top of each other.A welcoming hostess who also recommended a restaurant for the next night for us - very nice of her.A really lovely little place and certainly worth a visit. Not fancy but good honest food which was absolutely delicious .Fresh and tasty and presented beautifully."
