"Small bakery, however packed with delicious fresh pastries, as well as great baguette sandwich lunch options. Everything I have tried here was freshly baked get in early as choice is rather limited for a late snack. The coffee is also more than ok, with cold drip available (as well as amazing cold drip mocktails). Service is friendly efficient. One of my favourite quick lunch options in the Martin Place Hyde Park area."

"Classified an Osteria (which in my limited experience is more of a rustic experience) this restaurant is a little more upmarket - the tier 2 offering of the sister restaurant at the other end of the 2nd floor in the strand arcade.You can go nuts with the menu and rack up a bill very quickly but you can also choose carefully to make it a great night out.I can recommend the pork gnocchi and the fungi risotto which were both great. The merengue cream did not have enough acid (there was only a whisk of the bitter marmalade around the plate to cut through the richness).Wine list is solid even if limited choice by the glass.The Strand is a gorgeous place for a restaurant.I would definitely go again."

"Pays a visit here with a groupon voucher for burger and drink for 2 people. the restaurant makes the classic burger in pub style that meet the place. the chips were crispy and crispy, but it was missing a little to season."

"I've been to Est twice- for the dinner tasting menu and lunch à la carte, so my review below is based on both experiences.<br>

Service is fairly good. Staff are largely attentive, helpful and friendly, although there were a few instances of forgetting our requests.<br>

Ambience and decor are very nice, creates a lovely setting to relax and catch up with friends. In the day especially, the light pours in through the tall windows and creates a lovely bright mood.<br>
<br>
Unfortunately the food and drinks can be a hit or miss. Some of the dishes were quite nice and some really were not (found quite a few to be too salty, too dry). Some of the cocktails were not great either (e.g. mine tasted too similarly to Thai green curry for my preference!)<br>
<br>
Overall-- Est is great for service, ambience and environment, but you'll find better food and drink elsewhere."

"We stumbled upon this great little bar while trying to find the Baxter Inn. While it specialises in gin you can still get just about anything else so do yourself a favour and visit. Great atmosphere and quirky decor. I'll definitely go back when I'm next in the city."
