"We visited this lovely Cafe at the weekend and were impressed by the friendly service and food. My partner had a crusty Bacon roll with a fruit tea, I had the full English with a gorgeous flat white Coffee. Yes, it took a while to arrive but worth it as it was freshly cooked and delicious. Comes with FRESH bread and butter. Also, the place is clean and the Toilets spotless!"

"Usually, I'm always happy to have a layover in YVR and always head to Monks Grill as it has my connection locations nailed!The last couple times - service has waned, unless sitting at the bar which is obviously the chosen seat judging by how busy the bar is.Today, a couple typical restaurant hiccups, I'm ok with that, but when I don't know who my server is, and when I "need" to pay my bill to get my flight - I can't even locate my "original" 2 people who were, for lack of a better word, tandem serving, we would have an issue if I was a run for my flight kind of passenger. I did not get even a mention they might be off shift or going on a break or whatever the reason may be for my not finding them. Not good if people start to panic about flights and not finding their "server"The cherry on the cake? Having a sever come to my table, tell me she was told she "had" to come to my table and then complain. I would have been fine to let you have my bill...problem solved.It's too bad, the food isn't bad for the couple items I've tried but they seem to struggle more and more with their table service. Recommendation - sit at the bar!"
