"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"Went here for dinner and dishes to share family style. The portion sizes are large enough. The outdoor seating and patio is nice. Plenty of seating indoor as well. No complaints with service either. The restaurant symbol and decor is cool. As for the food, it wasn't tasty. We tried 4 different dishes (nachos, burritos, chimichanga, tacos) with 2 different sauces. But none of them felt delicious. They were all 3-star. They either lacked flavor or were too cheesy/starchy. I'm not sure why this place has a great rating. Maybe because it has good vegan food? And vegan folks really like it? Not sure. We had our dishes with chicken and definitely didn't like the taste."

"A cute venue with a cuter patio, amazing staff, all enveloped in great values. Walk off the othello light rail link station into this awesome cafe. The vibe is very much unique and cool. I enjoyed the Pesto breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino, the artichoke blossoms, Mac and cheeze, and great conversations. The portions are small but I think they are great for a lovely lunch. It was perfect for a sunny crisp lunch date with some friends. It’s a place I can work or enjoy a nice book while immersed in an oasis in the middle of the community. Will go back to enjoy the chill vibes and the love of the community."

"Their spicy chicken sandwich, with chicken strips instead of thighs, opened my eyes to the beauty of life. That said, it is more like a 3/10 spicy. The 7/10 spicy was a lie. A beautiful lie that gave me hope for a beautiful world."

"Soooooo goood !! I am from out of town (Long Island NY specifically, where amazing pizza is very abundant , and feel like I know what to expect out of a vegan pizza. My party ordered a large margherita pie, and of course got the stuffed crust, as that’s something I have never seen available for a non-dairy pizza. Do note, it did take some time to come out, but it’s understandable. I was in awe when it arrived, and the 3 of us at the table devoured it. Perfect amount of food for 3 pretty hungry people. Thank you !!! :"

"E&C was wonderful. The staff was super nice and welcoming. After ordering some refreshing drinks, we tried 3 different appetizers: the chips and dips, chicken sliders and tomato and whiped feta. The chips and dips, had warm and crispy crinkle chips with ranch, a sweet mustard, and a red curry. All very delicious. It was not busy and we are seated righy away. I would recommend this plaace"
