"We visited the inn on 13.1.10 due to a recommendation from a working mate. And it turned out to be a very good recommendation. We stayed with 6 people and the guest room was well filled. Nevertheless, the service immediately came to us and brought the menu and asked for the drinks before. The drinks then came quite quickly. I think the food itself was a dream. I have rarely eaten so delicious pasta and pizza. I personally had ordered pasta and the Rigatoni had bite. The tomato cream sauce also tasted tomatoy and it was also abundant tuna in the sauce. Not as with some other restaurants where the main part of the dish has to look. My food companions were all very enthusiastic about their choice of dishes. And everyone would definitely visit the Gasthaus An der Abens again. I also liked the atmosphere very well. It is set up according to the meditar style and beautifully decorated with small decorations and candles. The view of the open cooking area is also beautiful. Because you can watch the two pizza bakers as they prepare the pizzas. My conclusion is that the Gasthaus An der Abens is highly recommended."

"Went for lunch on a quiet Wednesday (though the front dinning room was filled) and was treated to good beer, tasty food and great service in a lovely settling. I had the pale ale, the Wiener snitzel and apple strudel before coffee and schnapps. The waiter was great-attentive but not hovering. No credit cards accepted."

"I almost forgot one, which still belongs to our previous short trip We were back on the way home and stopped in Abensberg. We were looking for a shaded beer garden. On the edge is the Greek restaurant and a sign with beer garden reads us to choose it. Through the courtyard, where there are some private parking spaces, you can get to the beer garden from outside. The toilets in the interior are also without steps. The inner area is reached at the entrance by a few steps. Service welcome there was none, we were somehow not taken. So we looked for a place ourselves. The funny thing is, regular guests were warmly welcomed and they were offered a place. After some waiting time, a gentleman came to us in everyday clothes, handed us the cards, put a jug with cutlery to the table and asked our drinks. The drinks came quickly and two Ouzo were put to the table and he said – please beautiful. The food order was received with one – thank you very much. So now we could see how the regular guests of the salad were served. Great riddles with us, we also get a salad or we have read something. No, we didn't, the salad was with us not only with us but also with other guests who apparently were not regular guests. served with the main dishes. The regular guests have accessed the salt and pepper shakers immediately after delivery. 2 star ambience From the parking lot it looks really idyllic, you get through a green arc into a beer garden covered with trees. There are rattan chairs in a dark version, there are red seat cushions with on it and the back area iat shaded with a large awning. There are some pots with plants in between.
