"Nice establishment with good food. Wasn't super expensive for the quality of the meal, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was classy which I enjoyed as well. Only downside was they didn't have crushed red pepper. "We attempted to have a lunch after my Dad's funeral at LP on Main. We were a larger party, about 10 people. We were fine with waiting. But we weren't even given the option. The front of the house staff was rude and very unaccommodating. The staff was also not friendly with a snobbish attitude the two times prior we ate there. The food is overrated and overpriced for what's delivered. I spent my summers as a kid in Banner Elk. And I now bring my kids. But this is NOT the Louisiana Purchase from 20 years ago. The new owners lost a lot of the charm the original restaurant had. So disappointing."

"VERY GOOD a definite restaurant to try in Banner Elch. The service was great and the food was good. Many parking spaces and tons of seats are not a problem when sitting on a Saturday night. The #18 got Rave reviews from three in our group. The favorita was also a hit. There is a salsa bar with good options. Margaritas were good. The medium was quite large, so I can only imagine how big it would be."

"We stumbled over this wonderful little restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. It was so good that we came back a few days later. I had the chicken fried steak special, and it was the best I ate EVER! And I had a lot in my life. The brisket was very delicious, and the grilled pig was delicious. The beer list had a number of large brews on design and in cans. Zack, our waiter, went out the way to make sure our meals were perfect, so we asked him at our second visit. It was a busy night since Friday, but he still managed to take care of our table. The MLB Playoff game was at our first visit on TV, and the guys at the bar were very excited and a little loud. It was normal again for our second visit. If you're in Banner Elk, try the Bayou Smokehouse. They won't be disappointed."
