".... by accident and so glad we did. Wonderful food served very fresh and with a great smile and welcome from the beautiful host and her staff. If you sit outside, it has that classic French dining area right next to the road, but don't let that put you off, the main road is not frenetic. The burgers are extremely tasty and would be my pick each time. When I'm next passing by on the Frankton Trail, I will definitely be dropping in again."

"Le Chateau is an excellent restaurant in Barbezieux. The menu is extensive and has something for everybody from pizzas and pasta to more traditional French fayre. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and recognise you even if you only visit occasionally. Unfortunately, it is not open on Mondays which is disappointing as so few establishments are open in the area on the traditional French revolutionary day of rest. I really recommend it; always a dependable choice."
