"My mum and I visited as part of a Virgin Experience Day which included an afternoon tea and a day of unlimited travel on the Great Central Railway for two. We arrived earlier than expected as heavy rain meant we couldn't spend as much time outdoors as planned but the staff were very accommodating and soon got our table ready. We were given a large pot of tea, a selection of freshly made ham, cheese and egg mayo sandwiches, warm home baked scones with jam and clotted cream and a variety of mini cakes, all beautifully presented on a cake stand and vintage china. As others have commented below, we couldn't manage it all so were able to take some home to enjoy later! We really enjoyed our time at the tea room, the staff were all very helpful and friendly and the station is delightful, as are all the stops on the GCR. Will definitely be back to try the all day cooked breakfasts! Thank you"

"Had a fabulous lunch at Daisy's last week. I had a cheese and bacon panini and salad and my sister had the chicken and bacon salad. The food was fresh and tasty and portions so big that they boxed it all up for us to take home. The tearoom is tucked away in Brooklea nursery and is well worth a visit."

"I haven 't left any reviews a while, but after visiting this place I was completely blown away and compelled to share with you. As a former student, I hadn 't been to Loughborough in ages so I wandered up and down the high street, in search...of something exciting and took a chance on this place. It was a freezing and dark Tuesday night, with no students around so I didnt want to be the only one inside. The cafe is just around the corner from the mobile stall. Inside there were a few tables full and a lovely atmosphere with people eating and sipping coffee and talking with the owners. This is my ideal setting! And then the food. The food! I 'd only had 'real ' Greek food maybe once before in my life and I 'm telling you, if you haven 't tried it get down here immediately. It simply doesn 't compare to the average kebabs you find on the high street. I had the chicken yeeros which is essentially chicken doner meat with fries, salad and homemade tzatziki and it was just out of this world. You just know when you go in a place and they are meticulous about cooking everything from scratch and everything neat and tidy. So if I find myself in Loughborough again, I will be back!"

"We celebrated my daughters Birthday party last night at the Spice of India, we hired the upstairs room which was lovely and private for our guests with its own bar and a disco. Thank you to Heena for helping to arrange all of the...details and putting us in touch with a great DJ! The food was absolutely perfect and plentiful. Thank you to sue who was running the bar and looked after us all so well! We all had a great night! "

"Great meal off the gluten free menu. Ordered chicken shashlik to start, burger for main and Lemon roulade for pudding. The waitress doubled checked and reassured regularly that the meal was GF. Super friendly and nice ambiance. Sister pubs in local area have same/similar menu are also good. Would recommend."

"Thought we'd try this place for lunch. Veg burrito was tasteless but other half loved his pulled pork one. Service was completely off-putting, lady seemed like she was forced to work there. The way she was chucking the fillings onto our burritos was as if she was throwing rubbish into the bin"
