"When we visit digby every year, we make a point where to stop kfc for a bucket of the highest fine. the consistency and quality of the product is not as good as never and the personal is always friendly and professional. her recovery of a 70's dinner is Spot-on! only a few meal times are nowadays served in bucket format, so it is always a tasty bite when we skip the lid and inhale that familiar, comforting aroma. you can't beat this mix of crumbs and spicy. delicious. to next year, kfc."

"We stopped at the last restaurant on the strip "The Captains Cabin" , which was the only establishment which had empty seats, many in fact! After eating here I know why!Word of advice STAY CLEAR! I ordered the lobster wrap $15.99 which had 6 or 7 microscopic pieces of lobster in it the rest lettuce! Oh I forgot it came with mashed potatoes, which of course were "instant"! My wife ordered the Captains Table special Greek salad which arrived with absolutely no dressing! The poor waitress who was new was very nice. Very disappointed!"

"Great service great food. Eating has a healthy taste that makes it feel like home. the new renovation they have done is great! they should check it! they placed sever between tables and kitchen is now private, so it makes for a cozy time with family, friends, couples, singles hahaha! it makes fun for everyone. it looks like the old dinner with the new deko. plus eating is great! and they have all the day breakfast!"

"Good service with excellent food. I had today's special which included whiskey and maple syrup baked bacon-wrapped scallops which should probably be labeled as addicting! Gorgeous back patio with views over the basin. Excellent Covid protocols."

"I have to second everything that Deb C. said in her review. My wife and I were driving from Yarmouth to Digby when she noticed the sign for the Barn Restaurant. In the same vicinity of the tea room at the Gilbert's Cove lighthouse, I wondered if it was the same establishment. We turned around to find out and were delighted to find this slightly out of the way restaurant. Interestingly, we knew Tracy and Barry from a shop they had along Hwy. 1 and were delighted to see their new venture. Little did we know what terrific, well-portioned, reasonably priced meals they made. Our first visit was for lunch; we both had lobster rolls that were generous and well-flavored. And they came with a delicious salad and dessert! Immediate note to ourselves: We must return.Which we did on 3 other occasions within a couple of weeks, all for dinner and all with different family members in tow. We had seafood lasagne, pan-fried haddock, haddock with scallops, and their grilled pork chop - every dish superb and an excellent value. Every single one of our accompanying family raved about the meals.Our recommendation - if you are in the vicinity, do not miss an opportunity for one of the best meals you will likely have. One other note - the Barn Restaurant does not have a liquor license but you are free to bring wine and/or beer. (No corking fee on the wine). This is the first year Tracy and Barry are running the Barn. We hope they have the great success they deserve. We plan on many return visits next summer."
